Trump didn’t “endorse” the drug in a commercial sense, or as a medical professional, he just relayed information on the initial findings that some doctors were reporting success with it. There was no pretense that this was his own medical opinion.

Reminds me of the sixties when the hippies were raving about nuclear radiation from atmospheric testing. In that case, they were probably right, though. The government was trying to compare it with the supposedly huge amounts that we get from the sun.
