Yesterday's thread here:

It’s not invulnerable. But it is safe enough. We are not going to starve. We just need to fine tune the process to minimize direct human-human interactions.
Yay!! Glad POTUS tweeted this out, regarding the corrupt/ChiCom owned WHO.
Lots of good intel, in that sweet tweet :)
Among the mass media’s insane fallacies is that the United States is the only country in the world.
It is a big planet out there, and most countries got it wrong on this one....
“Maybe be 0.2 to 0.3 compare to the Flu 0.1%. I was original thinking back in late Feb it would be 0.2 to 0.7 base on South Korea data.”
SK CFR and DCR are still converging. Looks like the best they can do, mathematically, is 1.9%. But the trickle of deaths continues, so that appears unlikely, now. I was hoping they would fully contain it. :(
Our best hope is that one or more of the treatments being tested turns out to be effective.
Yes, but they didn’t elect Trump.
See, Trump is the problem. Worldwide.
etc.
Staying at home can be therapeutic?
Huh?
It's clearly not killing young people today.
We are saying we do not know the long term effects of the virus or if it truly clears, lies dormant, etc.
The post is crying for data—lots of it—tables and tables and tables of data.
Assertions are not a substitute for data.
TX - CV cases in counties where there is a lime industry:
Bexar Co. (San Antonio) - 410
Bosque - 5
Burnet - 4
Comal (just north of San Antonio) - 15
Deaf Smith - 7
Hill - 5
Johnson (just south of Dallas/Ft. Worth) - 21
Nueces (Corpus Christi) - 53
Travis (Austin) - 502
Ya gotta wonder.
Hubs has been working from home for 3 weeks now. No commute.
His unmedicated blood pressure is running 20pts lower on the top and 15pts lower on the bottom. He had to quit his BP meds last week, he had turned into a puddle.
What you are suggesting (in your fact vacuum) is that the 20 somethings all have separate homes and means of support and they can just pick up the slack for the older, more experienced folks. Neither of those things are true for the most part.
You are essentially proposing rewiring the entire economy which would cause even more turmoil than what’s happening now. Or do you propose some central planning?
And for many of the really older types who don’t live with younger family, being separate in a special home isn’t working out so well.
While it’s not killing the 40-60yr olds at the rate it does the ‘elderly’, it’s whupping their a@@es. Bigtime hospitalization rates for that age demographic.
Those are the business owners, managers, shop floor supervisors, etc.
Can’t run a business without them for very long.
“Simon better hope none of those Korean reoccuring CV cases didnt work at that toasted seaweed snack factory.”
Stuff would have been sitting too long.
I guess we’ll find out at what point the people just distance themselves without the government telling them to.
I asked that poster the direct question. If he shows back up I am going to ask it again.
I dont pay enough attention to people to know their posting history. I just remember him as being some kind of flubro early on..but then changed his tune..somewhat
Yeah...Candace is a HUGE flubro.
I think her ‘source’ for these wild@ comments are from a Slimes article.
Yep.
Ping me if you receive a confirmation :)
Exactly. It will be a learning process...hopefully Korea figures it out for everyone.
