Sweden reports a record high of 114 coronavirus deaths in past day (previous high was 76 the previous day). Still no lockdown in Sweden.

This is the “let ‘er rip” policy in action...
Notice that poster skipped over my replies/info entirely.
Mumps doesn’t kill young people either. It’s pretty much benign as far as CFR is concerned.
Not something I would want my 22yr old son getting though under ANY circumstances.
Ditto this virus until we know a LOT more about long term damage.
Then there is the Wisconsin primary:

Polls open in minutes. Heres a look at the line in Waukesha, the citys only polling location
Or the “You can pay me now, or you can pay me later” policy.
We’ll see. The big question is the impact on the hospital facilities.
Some of the males, at least, may also be immune from having children.
Time will tell.
Thanks China - The UK governments new testing chief has admitted that none of the 3.5 million antibody tests ordered from China are fit for widespread use. - https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/coronavirus-test-antibody-kit-uk-china-nhs-matt-hancock-a9449816.html
Very positive news out of New York this morning with lower hospitalizations etc. Deaths are up but that is a lagging indicator. I think this shows the public health steps are working along with the use of drugs.
Hoping the hospitalization decrease means they’re using the meds earlier on to prevent that outcome.
That would be *great* news!
Don’t know how she is today. Haven’t read anything for a long while about her.
There was one woman who nursed her family at home in Africa who relied on donning plastic garbage bags and constant use of bleach. They made it through Ebola. This is very similar to keeping CV at bay.
Some Africans were whitewashing their homes with lime which is an antimicrobial. Wondering if anyone has done or would do a study on CV cases where their drinking water comes from limestone areas.
https://tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/gpm01 “Plants for the production of lime are currently operating in Bexar, Bosque, Burnet, Comal, Deaf Smith, Hill, Johnson, Nueces, and Travis counties.”
There are several hundred cases of CV in Bexar Co. (San Antonio and Travis Co. (Austin), Texas. Aside from the severe lack of testing, it seems they haven’t had the numbers as one would suspect. I don’t know how all the chemical manipulation the public water supply would eliminate lime but perhaps people with private wells in the rural areas would ingest lime and if that would help.
Definitely not a conservative value.
I guess its just too bad about the old farts who work in healthcare, first responders and other essential services, like my husband who keeps his business open so ingrates like this can have food on the table.

Other national figures of interest today (one day CV deaths):
—Belgium 403—more than double previous figures—may be some sort of adjustment in there
—Netherlands 234—significant increase over previous days
Hey wheres our neighborhood thread officer who makes sure we dont use any negative language? Guess that only goes one way lol.
786 new deaths in UK
731 in NY state
It’s like they think the case number is the current score in a ball game.
In fact that case number is where the virus was 10-14 days ago.
We won’t know where it is today until 10-14 days from now.
They’re the ones screaming lockdown doesn’t work when the numbers don’t go down the very next day.
Great observation.
Doesn’t seem to have a problem with impolite comments coming from flubros...lol.
The W.H.O. really blew it. For some reason, funded largely by the United States, yet very China centric. We will be giving that a good look. Fortunately I rejected their advice on keeping our borders open to China early on. Why did they give us such a faulty recommendation?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 7, 2020
“Is that the definition of a FluBro? LOL. You do realize that just released data from New York shows that the majority of COVID-19 mortalities were aged 70 and over and have preexisting conditions:”
Nice try, but you prove my point. I see you left out the 30% of the deaths were between 50 and 59 stat. So is 50 now “old and worthless”? You’re a FLuBro.
By the way, CCP-19 has about the same age-mortality distribution as the flu on a per case basis. CCP-19 just kills a lot more people who get it.
https://conservativepost.com/new-graph-shows-flu-vs-coronavirus-death-rate-by-age/
Graph about 1/4 of the way down the page for those that need a visual. Based on the SK data.
“Again, says the FReeper who can’t back up what they claim with a reference. And no, not an arbiter, but I do call out statements be represented as facts with without some sort of reference.
I’m sorry if that makes you uncomfortable.”
It was easier to get you to post your “old and sick” claim again than to dig through months of your HTT BS. And you post without sources yourself. Most of what I say has been documented repeatedly on these threads. Now the “sick, old people” argument can finally be put to rest, since the SK data clearly shows that the flu is just as bad for old people in terms of age distribution of mortality on a case basis as CCP-19. Which, if *you* want to dig through *months* of *my* posts, you can confirm I’ve been saying as well.
As for comorbidity, any disease that weakens your immune system will allow an existing condition to kill you. Or kill you itself, if it can. How many people die directly from the flu or colds? Hardly any, they die of other things once a cold or the flu weakens them. But it will have been caused by the flu. Just like it is with CCP-19, and many other diseases. It’s normal disease behavior.

Also, never confirmed/denied that s/he/it works for CDC.

Trump is correct. WHO really blew it and China really hid a lot of stuff but the press will still try to blame Trump which thoroughly annoys me.
