A Los Angeles doctor praised using hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19 during an interview with a local news station on Sunday, claiming that it has a dramatic effect on patients who are seriously ill when combined with zinc.
Dr. Anthony Cardillo, CEO of Mend Urgent Care, made the remarks during an interview with ABC 7 news anchor Jory Rand.
What were finding clinically with our patients is that it really only works in conjunction with zinc. So the hydroxychloroquine opens the zinc channel, zinc goes into the cell, it then blocks the replication of the cellular machinery, Cardillo said. So, it has to be used in conjunction with zinc. We are seeing some clinical responses in that regard. There are people that take it regularly for other disease processes, we have to be cautious and mindful that we dont prescribe for patients who have COVID that are well. It really should be reserved for people that are really sick, in the hospital, or at home very sick that need that medication, otherwise were going to blow through our supply for the patients that take it regularly for other disease processes.
Every patient Ive prescribed it to has been very, very ill and within 8-12 hours they were basically symptom free and so, clinically I am seeing a resolution that mirrors what we saw in the French study and some of the other studies worldwide, Cardillo continued. But what I am seeing is that people that are taking it alone, by itself, its not having efficacy.
Bkmk
For all the Ephedrabros and Epheardros out there. YES!, it sucks that some people died from ephedra but how many more people have died from the side effects or have been subscribed OTHER pharmaceuticals to counter the side effects of pseudoephedrine?
Shhh!
Governor Brown, (D) Oregon is prohibiting use of the drug on the basis that it works.
No.
They’re in the bag for the indemnified mandatory vaccine they’re working on.

I am so dizzy at this point I may vomit.
On the one hand the MSM blast the President for touting hydrocloroquine as an unapproved drug. Putting aside the utter falsity of the premise. They report it breathlessly.
On the other hand we are now getting the ceaseless reports of doctors seeing that this frog is effective.
I am dizzy.
This needs to be ramped up bigly.
Or both.
Pharma would never develop a drug that opened them up to a lot of lawsuits.
Vaccine manufacturers, however, are indemnified.
Never?

They didn’t develop those drugs in order to initiate lawsuits against themselves.
Vaccines are lawsuit free for their manufacturers.
Have been since 1986.
My understanding, that I hope to confirm, is that hydroxychloroquine in addition to its anti-viral affects, ie., opening the zinc channel, has efficacy in suppressing some inflammatory cytokines. That would be a monumental finding given that most of the viruses that attack the lungs have the effect of initiating a cytokine storm in serious cases.
IOW, this medication could have far wider application and should be stockpiled and studied widely.
I believe it’s efficacy is against an over-expression of IL-6 and TNF (to be confirmed). One such confirmation is:
“In APCs, such as pDCs and B cells, this drug also inhibits antigen processing and subsequent MHC class II presentation to T cells, preventing T cell activation, differentiation and expression of co-stimulatory molecules (such as CD154) and also reducing the production of cytokines (such as IL-1, IL-6 and TNF) by both T cells and B cells. Another med that has promise in this area is Celebrex, a COX2 selective inhibitor, COX2 expression being a part of the inflammation process. Maybe a combination of those two drugs can have marked affect on cytokine storms, the typical killer in pandemic influenza, viral pneumonia, and ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome).
thanks
the search for additional meds is fine, good...
(but at least we are fortunate to have a working medical treatment already, and it turns out to be so very plentiful and cheap, too.....this crisis now can be declared over with already!)
So pharma sells it as a combo pill and can still make big bucks...they just lack imagination to do it!
For me this is excellent news. Several years ago I had an allergic reaction to the Z-pac and had to have a steroid shot to counteract the face swelling and hives.
That’s just thousands of anecdotal reports - they don’t mean anything.
ZINC, ZINC, ZINC! Someone tell Trump and Navarro.
MUST INCLUDE ZINC!
This preventive and remedy should be made FREELY AVAILABLE to anyone who wants it by NEXT MONDAY. There should be an appropriate LARGE-PRINT disclosure and risk statement that people will have to sign.
Let's get this over with. The risks of this cure/preventive are well-known and are FAR LESS SEVERE than shutting the whole country down.
BE BOLD, OUR PRESIDENT! YOUR GUT FEELING ON MARCH 20 WAS CORRECT!
