Its just the flu, bro.
More people are discussing herd immunity as an end game...apparently U.K. wanted to try it but then a modeler told them their hospitals would be over run. The overrunning of hospitals has not been happening there (or here) so they may be taking a second look at it. Its simple - open up the country but the old and those with serious heart, lung and diabetic conditions should voluntarily social distance.
The factors that makes herd immunity a good concept for this virus - its not that lethal (just the flu, bro) and it spreads quickly. This means the social distancing for the vulnerable will be short and we can all get back to normal activities.
25 days until the end of this month is too long to keep businesses shut down!
Freepmail me to get pinged. I have already had Fearpers try and trick me and join a ping list so please use our mantra in the freepmail so I know you are legitimate. A ping list will help deflect the wave of Fearpers that come here everyday.
Herd immunity is a strategy. A cruel, heartless strategy that will cause far more economic pain that the economic lock down you’re trying to avoid.
All I’m saying is do the math. Count the costs.
I agree that it is good there are treatments for who needs them...just as the flu has Tamiflu.
I’m not a physician but it seems to me that the faster the general population gets immune to this virus the better. It will run its course. Like other people said, self isolate if you have underlying conditions and wear masks and gloves if you want to. If you get sick from this virus it’s not an automatic death sentence. I’m 65 years old and have liver cancer. But I’m not going to let this hysteria get to me. We’re all going to die someday from something.
Is any information available upon the shuttered West Virginia plant which did manufacture HCQ several years ago, due to reopen.
Also about a story on Israeli manufacturing and gifting of HCQ some millions of doses of HCQ to the USA.
An American expat on these boards with a username ending in 123 indicated that they lived in VietNam and VietNam manufactured HCQ.
You may have made significant discovery. My cats are all flubros. And, while they are not gay, they all are eunuchs.
Cruel and heartless - please elaborate...or do you just use that language all the time because you write romance novels for a living.
Yes, it's reopening this week.
I think the best thing to do would be to get/make a billion doses of HQC -Zpak and then open things up starting with people 50-60 or younger with no comorbidity. Make sure all of health care has access to quick tests. Then ride out the storm.
(Nobody believes China's numbers, the graph just shows "official" death numbers.)
So far, my guesses have been better than Ohio’s Gov Mike deWhine and Chief Medical OfficerAmy Acton.
Weeks ago, they claimed their best estimation was 100,000 Ohioans had the disease; it was growing at 35% per day; and it killed 1.4% of infected.
Today, 3739 have the disease and charitably 102 have died.
The news talks about 4 hour waits at the drive through testing lines but the hospital parking lots are empty.

Anyone taking Hydroxychloroquine should be able to go back to work! It starts working in 3 hours. Please sign the WH petition below. When it hits 150, it goes live on their website, so many more will see it.
Yes !
That’s what we used to do with the Chicken Pox
It makes for a natural vaccine
I hate 'em!!
Not wearing any Chinese mask !!!
Refuse to resemble China in any way
They are pushing us to all be China now
On this point I will not concede
Tell it to Hockey Stick McGee
They just weren't making hydroxy for whatever reason.
They had enough percursors on hand for 50,000,000 doses.
I know someone that works there.
I'll see if I can get an update.
Don't let China take this from us. China has taken our industries, are you going to let China take our common sense disease precautions too?
