Why don’t you listen to what the doctors and nurses themselves are saying? My sister is a physician, and she went from being a “FluBro” to deeply concerned as soon as her hospital was flooded with COVID-19 patients.
Americans might be more inclined to take this situation seriously if we weren’t being fed endless streams of bulls*t, as usual.
Let us know what’s actually happening, not what that Deep-State prick Fauci’s models say.
At my closest hospital, it is illegal (has been at least since Jan 1st, AKA pre-Wuhan Virus) to film, video or photograph in the hospital. Signs everywhere.
That will not help. Your sister will not be believed by those who want this to be a hoax. Theres a FReeper doctor here who was even attacked.
Someone close to me, who works at a hospital, in San Diego, says the patient census is lower now than it has been in many years. All elective procedures are canceled in anticipation of being flooded with virus patients. But the flood hasn’t happened.
Independent media and first amendment auditors are looking like the true heroes in the pandemic reporting area.
Video posted March 31.
The Detroit area is NOT calm at all from nurse reports. It is a war zone.
The posted video proves what? Visitors are supposed to be banned at hospitals now: which is possibly why no one in waiting areas. Listen to the scanners in NYC seems to be a lot of trouble breathing and “old people not feeling well.” Little anything else, from the hours I listened to this week.

OK, either these Citizen Journalists are lying and filmed these scenes BEFORE the outbreak only to show it now, or there is a disconnect between what is being reported by the media and what is really happening in hospitals all over the United States.
If you sister is right, then she should be telling the authorities to send patients overwhelming her hospital to other hospitals whose facilities aren’t being much used so that their burden can be relieved.
They already wrote the story weeks ago. And, don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story...
The article you cite is decrying the byzantine military protocols required to get patients on to the Comfort. And also points out how NYC hospitals are overrun.
But you knew that as Im sure you actually read the article.
People don’t trust the News.
People don’t trust the Government.
People don’t trust the Corporations.
People don’t trust foreign countries.
People have been told that everyone is entitled to their own “truth”. So no one really knows what to think about anything.
Not a good thing.
I was surprised to hear that nurses were being furloughed or laid off in some cities. Also to learn that the anticipated influx was not always appearing.
During the San Francisco earthquake in 89 the media's focus on the Marina District and the downed section of the Nimitz Freeway led cities to the south to defer asking for assistance. They told us later that they believed what they were seeing had also occurred between them and San Francisco.
We held staff over at Naval Hospital Oakland in anticipation of casualties that never came. For me, one lesson learned is that it is always best to increase your perspective and look beyond what the major medial is feeding.
Because we don’t SEE it. My neighbor’s sister is a Dr in Mobile and has seen only 12 cases. Of those 12, all but 3 were sent home with mild symptoms. The other 3 were sent to the hospital where all 3 recovered!!! That’s why.
4/3/2020 Sarasota Memorial furlouging staff:
A. Most hospitals are overwhelmed.
B. Most hospitals are not overwhelmed.
You are right, my wife is a nurse, so I have lots of first hand information, hospitals in most parts of the country are way below normal use since everything elective is canceled. The ones in my area sent nurses home on lockdown, or have them working 2 days a week.
My wife had a possible exposure which turned out to be negative, so she was off for 2 weeks just in case. When she went back to work yesterday, they are going to approximately half schedule. There are no patients, she works for a general practitioner, had 3 patients where a normal day is 25-30. Any news article (especially from the usual suspects) that say they are overwhelmed is to put it bluntly....full of crap. Not the word I intended to say, but I am feeling nice today.
