Sean Davis, co-founder of The Federalist, took a serious look at the IHME (Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation) Coronavirus model and called it “garbage.” Davis makes his case through a series of tweets (below).
Davis found that the actual numbers of hospitalizations on April 1 were a fraction of the numbers projected by the IHME model. The problem with the model, he discovered, is that it uses New York and New Jersey data and applies it to the rest of the states.
The actual numbers range from a low of 9% in Tennessee of the projection to a high of 50% in Virginia. Here are some examples:
The model projected that over 121,000 people would be hospitalized in the country yesterday. The actual number was 31,142. (25.7%)
Texas: Projection – 1,716; Actual – 196 (11.4%)
Georgia: Projection – 2,777; Actual – 952 (34.3%)
Virginia: Projection – 607; Actual – 305 (50%)
Tennessee: Projection – 2,214; Actual number – 200 (9%)
New York: Projection – 50,962; Actual number – 18,368 (36%)
Davis writes that if we’re going to shut down the entire nation’s economy to “flatten the curve” based on the projections of a single model, it shouldn’t be too much to ask that the model approximate reality when it comes to hospitalizations.

They just say this many cases,how many deaths,they don’t explain how many seniors 60 and over,how many between 18 and 50,how many deaths were seniors who already in the hospital for other issues,heart disease,cancer etc..
How many cases were positive but no symptoms,how many young people who have the gurus but just have minor symptoms and recover completely.
Looking at evidence from other places most deaths are seniors who had preexisting conditions and were already in hospital for other conditions

Yup. The number Birx and Cuomo are putting out now is 93K which is in the ballpark. I knew from looking at Italy numbers that 240K-2M was B.S.

WHERE IS THE SOURCE CODE?
Presently, the model is a black box with projections just as good as a magic 8 ball.
We need to be able to examine the code to understand it’s assumptions.
My county in CA totaled 30 new cases yesterday—and almost all from a nursing home! Five deaths total (since March 1).
I wonder what will happen to the nursing home industry after this. Might be time to rethink institutionalization of the elderly. . .but not an easy problem to solve.
Some reporter FINALLY asked Birx about the source code yesterday. She seemed caught off guard. If only we had journalists who would ask Birx and Fauci the tough questions instead of aiming “gotchas” at Trump.
My daughter is a nurse and a shift administrator in one of the three local nursing homes here. It has been a nightmare for her. They have been on lockdown for over a month, with no visitors. They clean and disinfect EVERYTHING coming in. All unnecessary employees have been furloughed. All employees coming in are temperature tested before they enter the building. They have to wear masks and gloves the entire shift. They have to deal with belligerent and flipped out family members who haven't visited Aunt Edna since they put her in the home, but suddenly show up and demand to see her. But, the result of all this hardship is no coronavirus.
Also, MANY people from the northeast are escaping and heading down to Texas where they think it is safe. Many of these people are health care workers. However, my daughters' facility has orders not to hire any healthcare workers from states that are hot spots.

I heard President Trump say he was sure Birx/Fauci would make background available.
Nor do they tell you nor can they, how many of these deaths are from the regular flu since most of the time the diagnosis is based on the symptoms and not a test...
I have read that the flu numbers are way down this year...While the corona virus numbers go up...Is this virus being misdiagnosed or mislabeled???
