Need an escape from the corona virus blues? Do you have the self isolation blues? In need of some good laughs and dark humor? You need some of Ruth's ultra sassy dialog? Are other family members getting on your nerves as they have been laid off from their jobs? Then tune into Ozark via NetFlix. Season three stands alone OK. If you like it you can circle back and see the first two seasons.

Gov't workers are home bound, getting paid for doing pretend work via tele-commuting. But Ozark is your private sector bonus and there for the rest of us.

Shut Ozark off quickly. Couldn’t get past the unnecessary, gratuitous gay stuff.

I am diggin Amazon Prime with Green Acres, Honeymooners, Wyatt Earp and Robin Hood (Richard Greene, 1950s). I watch them, 1 episode of each per night, just before bedtime. Each show is only about 15-20 min. long allowing for the excised commercials. I’ve come to look forward to it each night.

Smoke Kools for that springtime fresh taste. Come up, come all the way up, to the menthol magic of KOOLS!

You’ll feel better about smoking with the taste of new Kent with the micronite filter. Refines away harsh flavor, refines away harsh taste. It makes the taste of a cigarette mild as a balmy day in the month of May!

Pall Mall: famous cigarettes; outstanding (ANNNND they are MILD).

I didn’t even have to watch the old commercials. They were branded into my brain by the ingenious subliminal suggestion of repetition from my youth. I could sing/recite a thousand of those stupid commercials.

Got britbox $6 month some good shows like midsomer murders and father brown. Britbox is the british equivalent of netflix which i am about to get rid of. Of course you can always try reading a good book.

Love the storylines and acting but get exasperated at the PC preaching. And aren’t U.K. criminals as violent as American ones? Watching Brit female officers, especially, bark orders at perps without being armed and have them obey is a little unrealistic. And minorities are always portrayed as noble law abiding victims of an unjust, racist society with never a storyline exposing Middle East types as radicalized.

The Pall Mall commercials I was watching had Lee Marvin in them. One of the lines was truly bizarre:
Pall Mall’s famous length of fine tobaccos travels the smoke, gentles the smoke naturally, and makes it mild!
Sounds like word salad if you take the time to actually recite it.

The present season of “Ozark” is great. Once you finish it go to “Better Call Saul” on Netflix and catch up to the present season. For the present season go to AMC, catch the reruns, and then the present episode.

I saw Ozark listed and was like huh?
Then Rush mentioned it today after puking over Snerdley’s infatuation with Tiger King. My son heard it was popular and had it on the other day. I watched 4 minutes and said No Thanks.

So started Ozark tonight.

I really liked Shetland on Amazon two years ago. Was bummed it didn’t go past 3 seasons.

Ignored The Expanse for a while then started watching it a few months ago.
I couldn’t stop and binged all 5 seasons. Only annoying thing is the UN lady with her raspy voice and constant F-bombs to DeNiro level. But the rest was good.

A fun one I binged last year on a Amazon was the seasons of Republuc Of Doyle.

I’m just starting on Ozark, Season One. That should keep me out of trouble for a while.

Ozark. What a soap opera. I can hardly keep track of who is jerking over whom.

But it is interesting.

Is Ozarks the series about the guy who gets involved in the drug trade, and an FBI guy chasing him has homo sex with a teen boy?
(if that was it, that was when I turned it off).

Also Bosch on Prime.

Hamish Macbeth is a series about a police constable in a small village in Scotland.

“Quirky” describes it pretty well and you’ll really like it if you enjoy the challenge of understanding the foreign language of English spoken with a Scottish accent.

Hubby and I found ourselves wondering how it could be so entertaining when there were times that we had no idea what they were saying.

:-)

“Ozark Season 3 was the best season yet.”

Agree! Jason Bateman is the co-producer so I think it is his doing. I assume he is a Hollywood good guy. Never seen anti-Trump crap from him!

Started watching it the other day - on Season 1, episode 5 as next up...looks decent.

Finished up Narcos the other day...another one that, once one gets past the first episode, actually turns out to be worth watching.
