Researchers found a middle-aged man who had mild symptoms but a prolonged version of the potentially deadly illness, according to reports.

Chinese researchers have warned of a new mutated version of coronavirus that could infect people for nearly two months.
Chinese military researchers found a middle-aged man who had the disease for 49 days, which is significantly longer than other durations of illness, according to reports.
He needed to be treated with a plasma transfusion from other COVID-19 sufferers who had recovered, it's claimed.
Previous research showed patients who survived the virus normally tested negative after 20 days on average, with the longest previous case at 37 days.
But despite the length of his illness the Chinese patient, who has not been named, had only relatively mild symptoms.
He had infected lesions to his lungs which disappeared shortly after he was taken to hospital.
Researchers said the patient's case might be 'chronic', which could suggest coronavirus has mutaed.

He had mild symptoms yet they treated him with a plasma infusion? I’m no medical doctor but that doesn’t add up. By the way, have any U.S. patients received plasma transfusions?
And China would really want us shut down indefinitely.

Are they releasing another strain on us? Or just fessing up to more of what we have can do?
Or, it could mean that this guy had an immune system not quite up to knocking it off, or the virus had nested in a safe place. It appears that after they essentially transfused him with antibodies from other recovered patients, it fixed the problem.
Still, points out how important tests are. We need to know who already had it, and then test those people to show they are negative, so they can go back into the world.

Some folks might become chronic sufferers and even lifelong carrier/spreaders....like if one gets hep c. I’ve been worried about that.

Viruses naturally mutate, every season we have a different ‘strain’ of influenza virus..................
That’s a pretty significant and problematic mutation. Exactly the sort one might put to work in a bioengineered weapon.
Mutations are random mistakes in replication of the DNA/RNA.
There is no way to predict what any given mutation will do. Most kill the organism that mutates...............
Are you unaware of the bioengineered weapons labs worldwide? And the role that China has outright stated it sees for such to paralyze the economy of their enemy (us) before going in for the takeover?
Practically every industrialized nation has one or more.
