Someone else, if not her, is organizing this. Who? And she doesn't realize it will come here, and people in this country might need some?

Well I think the larger context is simply that she may have known, through communications via people in China, that something was up. Why else buy all the masks? But I admit it’s pure speculation. And I mean no disparagement to Chinese people at all. It’s just the nature of the world. If it originated in Uzbekistan I’d expect some Uzbekistani to have the inside track. She may have had her ear to the ground and knew of things that we did not quite yet grasp.
the timing of this chinese virus is very suspect. the election, hong kong, military buildups and provocations, n korea, etc., etc. intentional or not, natural or man-made, it is effectively at this time a devastating physical and spiritual weapon for the CCP against it’s avowed enemies in the west, Christianity, America and the President.
we know for a fact now that the CCP hid it. the motive is unclear, but maybe this bragging woman (expat?) and therefore other Chinese-Americans knew something big was up before the general public did. we have a box of masks in the pantry and use them sparingly since we have care of my elderly mother but we could never use 1000s of them!
but i didn’t hear anything about this from our Chinese-American friends, or media in jan, you have to ask, why weren’t they raising the alarm back then? were they and the media ignoring them? if i knew this, i would have been spreading the word everywhere i could if i was alarmed enough to spend what 1000’s of dollars on masks?

Especially of late, a lot of Hong Kongers are not exactly fond of their brethren in the mainland, so he/she may have wanted to intentionally foster some more bad feelings between the US and China?
I have to say that these reports of Chinese purchase of masks gives more credence to the releasing of the CoV virus across the world on purpose. Send out people to buy up masks from other countries and then send the virus around the world. Great way to bring the world to it’s knees. China has a lot more expendable population then most every other country.

Too many are overlooking brazen warfare slaughtering and risking millions of Americans, while the CCP intentionally attacks the US in propaganda and in their internet assault on our rights. Most of what we witness is information warfare.
When China stopped reporting on COVID-19, but continues to control all medical flows worldwide, they tipped their hand.
Since the Communist Chinese seek to act as a group, it is just for them to be judged as a group.
BTW. I sincerely question those who claim to be American and hate China, when they return to China annually under the pretext of family. It is sort of like divorce. If a couple gets divorced, but continue to visit one another routinely and amicably, either they didn’t know the meaning of marriage and were never truly married, or they never really divorced. Too many liars out in our midst.
It wasn’t just the US where this happened. This occurred in a lot of other countries.
Australia got the brunt of this and the locals there are flipping mad. The “pillage” was done by Chinese citizens, students, and companies located in Australia. Items they bought were TP, masks, eye shields, baby milk formula (that’s been a long term issue) and medical equipment.
Wouldn’t surprise me if some attempted to sell back their stuff...for a tidy profit. They really are the Ferengi of Earth.
The Home Depot in my area has been stripped of masks since January.

I agree. She’s a hoarder. There’s no need to buy many thousands of masks for personal use. As mentioned, its a kind of stupid, panicky, selfish, 3rd world thinking.
