Republicans agree: 61% back Trump’s Easter back-to-work goal
Washington Examiner ^ | 3/27/20 | Paul Bedard

Legacy media may be shutting down coverage of President Trump’s daily virus task force press conferences, but his message about getting the nation back on its feet by Easter is getting through anyway.

The latest Rasmussen Reports survey found that 61% of Republicans share Trump’s confidence that some parts of the country not widely impacted by the coronavirus can begin rolling back precautions by Easter.

As with virtually everything coming out of Washington and the White House, though, there is a huge partisan split. Democrats, who don’t agree with much of anything Trump does, also don’t have confidence in Trump’s Easter back-to-work goal.

Rasmussen found that just 28% agree, and overall, 41% of likely voters are confident compared to 58% who aren’t.

Democrats don’t want to go back to work? Not surprising. Especially with Son of Porkulus money coming in

Dems are largely in densely populated cities. They won’t be able to begin to return to a semblance of normalcy as soon as sparsely populated areas.

I may be 51 but if I can’t let off steam at one of my friend’s Italian restaurants soon I’m gonna lose it.

I only let him rip up a huge bill 4 times a year.

So I only run up a huge bill 4 times a year :)

Those bills are about 6 or 700 with the wine bottles and multiple antipasti.

The ones I pay are pizza and beer for 50 bucks :)

Luzzo’s or Levante. Some in LA now.

But Brooklyn and Long Island City are closer :)

END THIS QUARANTINE!!

Did Trump just change it to April 30?

The Democrats don’t want this to end. The progressives are hoping for a new Great Depression so they can centralize power in the federal bureaucracy, just like they did during the last Great Depression. The rest just don’t want to go back to work.

I support that goal as well, but it’s probably ill advised at this point.

Misleading headline. Not good, most don’t support it. Ever since he brought it up MSM has been nonstop slamming it. People are too scared. He has to do this very carefully with the knowledge that every new case in an opened area will get the Drudge siren and an above the fold NYT headline. The gradual opening concept is lost on many, maybe most. They don’t get the amount of ruin that is happening.

Sitting at home with the kids is gonna get old real fast.

My next door neighbors have 10-year-old twins, girl and boy. Both of the next door neighbors work...LONG HOURS too.
They've farmed out their twins since they were VERY young. Now they have them 24/7.
It's gotten REAL old for them already. Tension lines in their smiles.
Makes me smile.

He caved to Fauci and extended all this regulation of our lives until April 30. There will be no gathering for Easter celebration for Christians in the USA. If you want to celebrate with more than 10 people, you’ll have to go where the church has some courage and freedom, Moscow’s Russian Orthodox Church.
