Bridge Over Troubled Water - Children's Voice Chorus

A unique way to have a choir sing in these days of social distancing. A short YouTube clip. Might want to have a tissue handy.

Saw the clip on Tucker’s show and thought others would like to see something innovative.

Saw it on Tucker, too, and they had to cut away. Thanks for posting the whole thing!

That must be hard for them. I’ve sung in many choirs and it’s important to be among the other singers to “hear” your part, and blend. I noticed that some of the kids had ear phones, but some didn’t. Great job.

They’ve probably practiced many times together, and their ears and vocal chords have ‘memory’ :-)

That’s very nice, I just wish they’d done the entire song. Bridge Over Troubled Water is one of my all time favorites; from the Ray Conniff Orchestra to Simon and Garfunkle and to this by Eva Cassidy, which I believe is the singular greatest versoon of Bridge Over Troubled Water that’s ever been done:

“Rivers of Babylon” rolling on an emdless loop in my head.

Very nice. Thank you. The girls would do well going acapella.
Whoever produced the recording also did a good job.
Some of the singers have parts that are meant to be sung at a higher volume. They had to be mixed with the more subtle tones also present.
The fresh faces remind me of high school Glee Clubs.
Always a good choice for after school activity.

No thanks. Just 3 seconds of that sounds too much like the hysteria going on outside of my house - while I’m hunkered down here very peacefully.

saw this on the news this evening.

I detest this song. Right up there with ‘Summer Breeze’, ‘Muskrat Love’, and ‘Country Boy’.

Oh, and ANYTHING by Journey. /spit.

Just out of curiosity, why do you consider a simple song about helping somebody through a difficult time to be 'hippie shit'? It seems a very Christian sentiment, to me.

‘I detest this song.’

agreed; it is worse than cloying and sentimental...hard to believe such a talented pair has this as a signature effort...

‘Muskrat Love’

whoever dreamed up that piece of lunacy should have to be shuttered up in his/her home for a period of weeks; the only appropriate punishment, really...

Eva Cassidy... the singular greatest versoon of Bridge Over Troubled Water that’s ever been done:

Oh, that was spectacular! What a voice, perfect control and exquisite expression. Thanks!
