“Top Chef Masters” Chef Floyd Cardoz dies of coronavirus in New Jersey at 59:
Gotta be one or the other
The single point almost everyone is missing: the Infected rate is going to eventually be 100%. This is a novel virus. Not one person in the world has a natural immunity to this. No body, on earth, has faced this before this pandemic.
All of these predictions are based on estimates and guesses. Sometime, in the coming months, if you interact with another human, you will be exposed.
Predicting the reaction based on anything but this is, no offense to the data folks, pissing in the sea.
That would have relatively little impact because of the very dense amount of residential housing in almost every borough of New York City
—
Wrong-o.
It would have halted traffic by...oh, probably at least half. No one can ‘safe distance’ on a NYC subway. Heck, not even on the platform, in most cases.
With less traffic coming IN to the city, less chance of being pushed about on NYC sidewalks/stores/etc. Just look at their streets in the past week. Imagine if that had started two weeks ago.
Surfaces on subways can hold the virus for up to DAYS (plastics/stainless steel).
LA
407 new cases and 19 new deaths
By looking at the numbers, I better understand the measures, some extreme, that our state/federal governments are putting in place. I'm certain the government's numbers are far more accurate than mine.
What I hope to get across by posting them, is how serious this is. And how, from simply self isolating themselves, instead of going out to "lick the toilet bowl", they may save not only their life, but also help slow an ever increasing flow of sick to the ERs.
Because I don't care who you are, when you get to a point where you can't breathe, you're going to be dialing 911.
May God watch over your wife and you. Hope you get her home soon!

5 States with most Covid-19 deaths are:
1. New York
2. Washington
3. Louisiana
4. New Jersey
5.tied: Georgia and California
https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/03/health/us-coronavirus-cases-state-by-state/index.html
New Mexico has social distancing for miles away from Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Not a guarantee of not catching the virus but you can get far away from people.
Isn’t most of Minnesota still case-free? A lot of that state is the Great Wide Open, just with tons of lakes.
No travel here. These days, my commute to work is from the living room to the kitchen table. Having massive teleworking will be key to re-opening the economy.
BLEACH HELP STICKY
NO BLEACH AT THE GROCERY?
NO PROBLEM!
Go to home improvement store and buy liquid pool bleach.
It’s sodium hypochlorite...usually 10%-solution but CHECK YOUR LABEL!
Our Lowe’s sells it for about $3.50/gallon
There were two pallets, in boxes contain three one gallon jugs.
IT MUST BE DILUTED.
THIS IS CAUSTIC. THE VAPORS WELL EAT METAL, SO READ STORAGE DIRECTIONS WELL.
THIS 10% CHLORINE IS 10-11 times stronger than what is sold at the grocery, which ranges from 2% to 6% solution.
This is simple but...
WARNING, IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING, DON’T DO THIS.
QUESTION...How much bleach is safe to consume?
ANSWER here...
https://www.google.com/search?q=how+much+ppm+chlorine+dangerous&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-1-m
‘The allowable chlorine levels in drinking water (up to 4 parts per million) pose no known or expected health risk [including] an adequate margin of safety.’
QUESTION...what is the correct ppm chlorine for disinfecting?
ANSWER HERE...
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-m&sxsrf=ALeKk00dZrYlx3NBchd_XAxs9CcWECk4Rg%3A1585158633410&q=what+is+the+correct+ppm+chlorine+for+sanitizing+solution&oq=what+is+the+correct+ppm+chlorine+for+sanitizing+solution&aqs=heirloom-srp..
“A chlorine sanitizer solution should have a concentration of 50 to 100 parts per million (ppm) in water between 75 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit, with a required contact time of at least seven seconds. Chlorine test strips are available to help you ensure the correct solution is created”
Chlorine test strips are available at Amazon.com
SO NOW WE KNOW THE MARGINS
How to determine how much liquid pool bleach to how much water?
From the site; “This easy-to-use calculator tells you how much bleach product to dilute with water to get your desired concentration (ppm) of chlorine solution. It is intended for use by public health units, health care facilities, child care centres, swimming pool operators, and the general public (e.g., for disinfection of wells and homes).
Important: Always add the bleach solution to the water when preparing the solution, not vice versa.
EXAMPLE: For my own use, I input these numbers...
Concentration of bleach product = My pool chlorine sodium hypochlorite gallon jug shows 10% on the label. CHECK YOUR OWN LABEL FOR YOUR %
Desired concentration of chlorine solution = I want 50ppm concentration after diluting with water
Desired volume of chlorine solution = I want to make one gallon
Desired unit of measure for bleach product...I have a syringe, so I’ll use ml.
RESULT...
“To make your chlorine solution add
1.99 millilitres of bleach to 1.00 US gallon of water”
One gallon of 10% sodium hypochlorite LIQUID pool chlorine is as much as,11 TIMES, as what you but at the grocery.
DO NOT DRINK
DO NOT USE IT IN THE LAUNDRY UNLESS YOU DILUTE IT CORRECTLY
DO NOT GET IT IN YOUR EYES
THIS INFORMATION IS POSTED FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES AND THE NUMBERS I USED SHOULD BE RESEARCHED BY EACH USER, PROVIDING THEIR OWN GATHERING OF SOUND INFORMATION.
NEVER MIX CHLORINE WITH ANY OTHER CHEMICALS...NEVER
Wu York City.
Before CV, FNC was Bernie, Bernie, Bernie. Now, it’s Cuomo, Cuomo, Cuomo. They can’t find anything to fill in with. Lazy.
Georgia, unfortunately, seems to qualify for a statewide shutdown by my reckoning. I saw a long list of counties affected in the state a couple days ago. Probably 3/4 of them or better, for all I know.
FYI, my son just told his crew he is making it mandatory they wear masks in all public areas if the hospital. He said if the hospital wants to kick him out, or his company wants to fire him, the fine. He said as long as he has to be around patient areas, he does not feel he and his crew are safe.
Many of these “cure” drugs are anti-inflammatory.
It still needs to be a slow burn, as a bridge to a cure or vaccine, so as to prevent collapsing the health care system in the meantime. As Black Agnes said, the resulting derivatives collapse (due to all the idiots investing in them) could make the Great Depression look like a cakewalk. Imagine $2T stimulus bills as far as the eye can see . . .
Proportionally in the USA (5.5X Italy's population), that would be 400,000 cases and 41,000 deaths, and still rising. And that's in a single month.
