Bring Out Your Dead

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

The false positive rate was 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

Here’s the latest from Minnesota...

Per the Department of Health, twenty-five (25) more individuals have tested positive for COVID-19. The state’s total is now 287.

11475 tests have been conducted.

Minnesota has 243 ICU beds. As of yesterday, 7 are being used by COVID-19 patients right now. In total, there are 15 patients currently hospitalized and treated for COVID-19.

Look, we now know that the Italian death rate was ridiculous because it affected so many elderly people (Italy has a large elderly population).

It's becoming a problem in New York City because of the high residential density of Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens, which makes spreading the disease very easy. Even New York Governor Andrew Cuomo had a "Jesus moment" and now aggressively pursuing testing and medical help in the New York City boroughs.
