dead cat bounce
I think you may be right. I believe I rad something about the dems acquiescing on the stimulus. If that is true, that news would bump the market. And if the dems then balk, it’ll just lose it all, and maybe more. In fact, that may be the plan, for all I know.

This dead cat has 9 bounce lives it seems. :)

It’s like 100 lawyers chained together at the bottom of the ocean: “A good start!”
Unfortunately, it still needs to go up 40% from here just to get back to where we were a month ago.

The deaths on Thursday Friday and over the Weekend will make the beginning of the investing week ... difficult. It gets better after that some smart poster on here said 18,500 was the bottom I got to go back and find that Freeper as they said that around 24,000. They were almost spot on. Its going to bad for 1 more week, a bit bumpy, for a month, hang in there everyone. I think we are doing a great job against this CHINESE virus.
Way to go America! And way to go president Trump kicking Chuck and Nancy in the face!

You could have posted the final numbers which were actually over 10%.

I think we are at the bottom. President Trump has put a floor on the market by putting an end date to the lockdowns. Now more people are optomistic. If we get good data from the drug trials the markets will skyrocket.
To: Vince Ferrer
I’m not so sure.
I think in a way Trump gave us one more nice Market day so people can sell and at least get some money back.
I think we’re out of magic market bullets for awhile. Hope I’m wrong.

Good news, but 10% aint what is used to be. If you were down 20%, a 10% gain feels a lot better.
Once the corona virus is contained and we go back to normal, I believe the economy will explode. If people jumped out because they couldn't bear the loss, I feel sorry for them. This market will come roaring back.

Was that you who predicted the 18,500? If so thank you as it made me rethink lots of things on the way down and I bought differently. I sold lots today at the high lots of what I call pandemic stocks that either made some money or keep me near even. PFGC saved my ass I will be dumping them shortly.
I bought, for me a lot, of WFC (7.7% yield seemed good?) and F pretty near the bottom. I should be doing the options I think I'm almost ready but with how my nerves were, moving into working remote for me and my family was just to much - lame excuses but so far pretty happy with my manuevering although I'm sure I made some mistakes.
If I knew what I was doing with options I could have really done something as I been really accurate on predicting events during this even because of reading this book
Chapter 21 is particularly relevant for the next couple of days/weeks
Just been trying to accumulate lots of good deals, for the coming rally so I have have batches I can trade options starting with the covered calls as I know I'm going to make mistakes - hopefully not to many but I know me

Using it in France and elsewhere. Some doctors using it a lot here. So far no bad results reported.
