OK, “considering” is not definite...did he say considering keeping it in place or did he say it’s shut down through 4/12?

Well, mid-April has been an often labeled date for quite some time now. Schools here in Arkansas were officially shut down, extended to April 17.
I don’t like the shutdown, and still question just how valid the model is - but Trump’s original “15 days and done” suggestion the other day lit up a lot in the medical world who about blew a gasket - so if this goes to April 12, it would represent a compromise.
And it still doesn’t preclude states or even cities and counties from keeping their respective jurisdiction on some form of shutdown.

Interesting. This carries the event to the end of Easter. April 3rd was posited in my circle as the end of the quarantine period. Well, I can hang another week. People will definitely be chomping at the bit to get back to it on the 13th!

He said that they will reassess the situation this coming weekend.
April 12th is the target date for America to be back at work!
It is disappointing news. We have to assume Trump has the best economic and CDC experts advising him. No one wants American’s back to work more than Trump. I suspect this is because the virus is so insanely contagious. The fact that masked people with unmasked eyes can get the virus is disturbing. There may be other horror stories being suppressed.
He’s waiting until the peak is hit and a downward path is confirmed - the curve is flattened - by which time there will also be significantly more knowledge about the effectiveness of the combination treatment. Those two things greatly reduce the risk of a return to normal action.
When you get your check be sure to spend it in a way that will help the economy. Some for local restaurants, some for other local business and some for the bills that are piling up.
I don’t have the complete picture. And neither does Trump, or anyone else.
