Their defiance of lockdown mandates and scientific advice to fight the coronavirus pandemic has prompted crackdowns by authorities on people trying to escape cabin fever brought on by virus restrictions. In some cases, the virus rebels resist—threatening police as officials express outrage over public gatherings that could spread the virus.
"Some consider they're little heroes when they break the rules," French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said. "Well, no. You're an imbecile, and especially a threat to yourself."

My Mom just found out she has lung cancer. The LAST thing she needs right now is to get this virus. But I’m almost resigned to the fact that she’ll probably get it because of mindless self-centered locusts like this. As far as I’m concerned, they are a direct threat to my aging parents and relatives and I wouldn’t care one bit if they were shot as looters.

My mother is 86 years old. Anyone who thnks it’s a good idea to cough in her direction will get some new copper-jacketed jewelry.
How is your mother going to get the China Virus from these “locusts” if she has full control over who she interacts with?

I think they've built into the equation that a certain segment of the population are going to be complete selfish idiots. Fortunately they'll be the ones to get it early and we'll be able to experiment on them. We should thank these morons for taking a bullet for us.

What is it with old folks hating on young folks. This is some new theme going on, totally crazy..
Because she cannot just hunker down alone. Someone has to bring her groceries, get her medicine, give her help, and take care of her. Every trip to a public place for her care givers is a risk of catching it. Everyone out there running around acting like this isn’t a problem increases that risk. But it’s not your Mom, so what do you care?

Occurs to me that you could argue self defense.
My Mom having cancer isn’t imagination. My Mom being at risk from catching this virus and dying in the next few weeks because of her compromised health is not imagination. It is very real. We’re trying very hard to hunker down and not catch this thing and give it to her, but all it takes is for one of us to get it and pass it to her, even before we might even know we have it.
