** Expectations gives your brain trigger points. You will automatically know when a trigger point is hit...and you will have thought, What next.***
Awhile ago I was wondering when I would begin wearing my mask, googles, cap and trench coat into stores. My trigger point was checking out at the Dollar Store and the cashier couldn’t/wouldn’t talk, had her scarf wrapped around her face, and her eyes glazed over and she was holding onto the counter to keep herself steady. I thought she was going to drop over.
So that was a bit scary (the guy with his young daughter sort of freaked in front of me.) I didn’t have any PPE, but had started decon of clothing and everything that came into the house.
Anyway - after that I get all geared up. Like putting on my seat belt. Putting on my seat belt doesn’t mean I’m afraid of getting into a wreck. A seat belt doesn’t make you invincible either - but it can help a lot.
It could be a number of reasons including that she is a pretty private person and he would catch hell when he got home.
Really not sure what the deal was...but it was kind of awkward.
Likely they tested her when they tested him.
If he had been exposed and was contagious, she and Barron would be exposed as well.
Makes sense to test the whole family.
God gave us President Trump and He will protect him.
Roughly 19%, or 761 people contracted the virus, 81% did not. At least so far. I see that 49 new cases have emerged. The number stood at 712 for weeks. I wonder if these were just not reported or if they caught the virus after being released from quarantine. Interesting development.
10 have died or 1.3% (2 more died since yesterday)
574 have recovered or 75.4% (7 more since yesterday)
177 remain infected or 23.3%
So at the moment the petri dish example has thus far had a death rate of 1.3%, which of course if below the 4%. Will it stay that way? I certainly do not know, but so far very promising.
That number is actually irrelevant other than to statisticians.
The only relevant number is how many will need a hospital bed/icu/ventilator at the same time.
And do we have enough of those for whoever needs one.
anyone know which reporter asked about the dollar...that seemed to hack off the guy on the hot mic
We think the same—of course that is why I still have Y2K food lying around... ;-)
Tossing it was on my spring cleaning list until the current unpleasantness..
I suspect that going after her is verboten for Trump.
Could just be him protecting her from the media wolves.
The L strain appeared in China towards the end of the ramp up. It is thought that it was a early mutationand the reason there was reports of reinfection.
This strain seems to be the one that was dropping people in the streets over there.
The L strain is thought to have been transmitted from Wuhan to Iran directly. Not sure how it got to Italy, but there was a large Chinese presence in Milan., it could have come from the 5 million folks bugging out of Wuhan right before the shut down.
The L strain appears to be both more contagious, but also more damaging.
The S strain is less lethal. That is what is in South Korea, and the west coast.
I dont know where they got their variant codes.
I remember that S gets you sick. L is lethal. Or Lasagna. My mnemonic.
Besides one German traveler, Spains first real cases started showing up Feb 9, about 11 days after Italys first cluster
What should I do in each case. I am 81 and healthy. My property taxes are due end of March, no gov. word of delays, must go to banks and shift money. Go to designated bank to make payments. Don’t trust the mails because of serious recent mistakes here. Also complaints about repairs needed at my country cabin by the “Association”. Never got their notice sent in Sept. Was contacted in Dec. but given until April 1st to correct conditions. Two weeks ago requested extension to April 30th. They gave me until April 15. Travel in VA and WV required. What should I do, remind them that my children and lawyer are in communication and will ASSociation take me home if I get sick while there?
maybe that is it. I went to twitter to see the reaction
a lot of people are thinking he lied in some way and that he flinched.
I do think he flinched....but could be for any number of reasons including the one you just said.
Robert:
I buy the 1.3% death rate on one condition—the health care system has to be in excellent shape.
What makes this disease so dangerous is that it can rapidly overwhelm the health care system (northern Italy, for example) and then the death rate skyrockets.
In addition, once the health care system crashes and burns, people start dying of hundreds of conditions that used to be curable...
Im sure there is a bit of truth to that, but Im sure hes also using that as cover for the increase in cases Florida will see as a result of his decision not to shut down Spring Break.
Along with copper, gold and silver also have antimicrobial properties. One reason why gold, silver, and copper have been used as money and a store of wealth throughout history was for their medicinal/curative powers.
So Italy, 11 days ago had 1016 deaths, meaning Spain is possibly on a worse trajectory.
I cant speak for the power grid outside of western Washington- but out here we are a combination of hydro and refined fuel. Since the Alaska pipeline ends here, we will have oil, and spring melt will fill all of the reservoirs.
Dams require very few operators. Refineries require large crews, and they all plan to lock two crews inside the gates on twelve hour shifts once any lockdown occurs. The lights will stay on up here, at least. Natural gas will flow, we will continue to bring propane to suppliers for those who dont have LNG. Our utility systems will stay intact.
Out East? Good question. Not my area.
UK & Italy are still showing a downward trend. US declined today, after a two day up trend. Both Spain and France have an increase. Spain has ticked upward for several days in a row now. South Korea, sadly, had seven new deaths after a period of hardly any.
Math is hard, lol
Which Boroughs have the most Chinese and Orthodox Jews who seem to have serious travel/infection possibilities.
