Yesterday's thread here:

trump said Illinois is becoming a hotspot
I’d speculate it’s Chicagoland, with a busy airport and dense population.
Test all the altarboys.
I wonder how many other bishops caught it from him.
Or if any Cardinals can bring it back to the Vatican.
GA up to 800 cases and 26 deaths.
Link, source?

“We have it from a plugged-in local source that Washington State Governor Jay Inslee is expected to initiate a shelter-in-place order at 5:30 PDT (1.5 hours from now).”
There was an article about all of the crowds out at the beaches and parks enjoying the nice weather over the weekend. Bunch of idiots - and now ruin it for everyone.
While vast majority of deaths from #COVID19 are age 60+ many young adults and middle aged Americans are becoming seriously ill and surviving only after prolonged hospitalizations and ICU admissions that have long term consequences. This is a dangerous virus for most age groups.

Chart at link: The “Boris rule” data—would save about two thirds of ICU beds—so that is worth a couple of weeks for the ICUs.
So, it is not a crazy idea, but it will still fail fairly quickly.
What if Fauci was a Hillary plant? He has an evil, too-smug look in his eyes. And a long-time Swampie.

for what?
Thanks Robert, maybe you should read my reply to you again. I am not afraid of this, I go out to work every day among the uninformed. I perform decontamination of everything I touch multiple times daily, just as I learned in the Army long ago.
Do you see me spreading panic? If you do, you are the one who is afraid of current events. I only converse with the others here about data we see on outside sites, and I tend to pass along on the ground events from inside China that the MSM cant - or wont - give you.
I have been saying this is a weapon for two months. I understand why President Trump doesnt declare it as such, as that would require a world devastating nuclear response. I see quite clearly from inside China that the less lethal variant of the virus was released there, and Italy/Iran received the weapons grade finished product. IMO the release of this was premature, most likely thru the sale of a test animal at the market, or the escape of one of them. October came early.
Those who cherry pick the death rate of this are with disingenuous or CCP trolls. The most devastating effect of this will be to either our health care system or our banking system depending upon our approach toward mitigation. If Trump plays FluBro and lets it run amok, our HCS collapses in many areas and the idiots panic en masse. If we social distance and slow the infection cycle, maybe - hopefully - we can bring about an effective treatment in that window of opportunity.
Social distancing is difficult for attention and activity starved folks, or for those who value their stock portfolio more than the lives of others. Sorry for the first, zero f_cks given about the latter.
Ive got months worth of money, food, medicine, guns and ammo. The last thing I am is panicked. And you, sir, are one of the occasional trolls on this thread.
That kind of thing has happened (Spanish Flu of 1918). But I haven't yet seen anyone else claim it of this virus.
Just because this virus is a new strain, and even perhaps a bio-engineered one, it belongs to a family named Coronaviridae. So it is not like we do not have similar viruses to compare it to, AIDS being one and SARS being another, which is why it is also called SARS2 CoVid-19. There are really promising signs that we already have drugs within our arsenal that have had reported promising results with this viral strain.
I have yet to see panic & hysteria solve anything, let alone a viral entity. So why is everyone reacting this way? It does nothing to facilitate combating this. But if we allow fear to destroy our economy we will damage a lot more people. To what end is that useful?
I agree. Minnesota is a big state. I’m pretty sure most of its counties don’t even have a single confirmed case.
Show me ONE panic reply in here besides your own, Robert.
We know there are at least two varieties, -L and -S.
Somebody here has a link for that. I don’t. But I suspect you can find that for yourself too.
But the death rate in Italy has been above everyone else.
Want someone to draw you a picture?
Oh wait . . .
Harris Poll: U.S. Seniors Are Least Worried And Least Informed About COVID-19 But Most At Risk
A new survey suggests the population most vulnerable to COVID-19 is also the group thats least worried and also least informed: senior citizens.
According to the survey, conducted by The Harris Poll, only 47% of U.S. adults over the age of 60 are worried about dying from the novel coronavirus despite being the most at risk. That lack of worry is a stark contrast to the actual statistics of COVID-19 patients, where health officials say patients over 80 have a fatality rate of 15% compared to the average overall case fatality rate of 2.3%. (For comparison, 57% of millennials surveyed also fear dying from the virus.)
Seniors dont only think theyre not at risk of dying, but also believe theyre not likely to catch COVID-19 at all. According to the nationally representative survey of 2,000 adults conducted between March 5 and March 9, 77% of adults over the age of 65 think theyre unlikely to catch the coronavirus based on their daily habits compared to 67% of millennials.
The Spain death rate has been very high as well—and they seem like they are lower on the curve than Italy.
Italy deaths total: 6,077
Spain deaths total: 2,311
Italy deaths today: 601
Spain deaths today: 539
Italy population: 62M
Spain population: 49M
