FWIW, urgent care in my neck of the woods means doc-in-a-box, or a PA at one of the local hospital’s clinics.
I wouldn’t take anyone with difficulty breathing to either.
KAISER. If they are all my coverage provided, I would pay out of pocket for a Quality MD especially if I was really sick.
He got seriously crappy health care that killed him. Poor guy. No question he was killed by lousy health care. His family cant get him back, but if this happened like this story, they will get a chuck out of Kaiser. This is definitely wrongful death.
You don’t say how long ago this was. Likely at the time the criteria was flu symptoms AND contact with someone who was positive or someone from China. She should be tested for antibodies still in her system, but given her history with the CA medical system as reported by you it sounds like they would refuse. But if flu systems reoccur she needs to demand a test.
The virus is scary to me. The prospect of not being able to breathe is quite scary
Late Feb.
It’s when enough people are immune to something that it slows down the transmission because there’s no very many people to infect to spread it.
Then the people who do not have immunity from it are somewhat protected because the disease has to find one of them to infect instead of burning out on those already immune. If the sick individual only encounters immune people the disease stops there.
The chances of an uninfected person encountering it first is lessened, and if they do get it, it’s not likely to spread far or fast because it can only spread through people who are not immune.
There may be more to it, but that’s it as I understand it.
[Julio was traveling back from a business trip on Sunday morning March 8th from Indiana when he realized he not feeling well with flu-like symptoms. On Monday he called Kaiser to try to make an appointment with a doctor. The doctor called and diagnosed Julio with flu and prescribed medicine. He was not feeling better so he called and emailed to see a doctor. No return calls or response of any kind. ]
aha, now i understand. thanks.
but we are on our own for sure.....I really wonder what the xray showed.....
Same with my sister. Shes in NY, very public position, could have infected thousands in December.
(Nods to herd immunity.)
But not the way I’d want to go about it.
He thought it was the flu. Oops! And how many 43 year olds die from catching coronavirus?
A guy who was the picture of perfect health.
