I was looking for something like this but I couldn't find it, so I made it.

Seems the most constantly updated; even has the two Yuba county cases that were announced yesterday. The crowdsourcing information (with sources) helps.

The numbers by county for NV and Nebraska can be found on this map: https://nssac.bii.virginia.edu/covid-19/dashboard/

Heaviest hit areas appear to correlate to “foreign container ship” traffic.

I noticed that a lot of the map seems to reflect population density. Did you simply do cases?

I think that if you wanted to do a map that showed un-usual clustering, you’d do cases per capital.
This would take a lot more work though.

per capita * (not capital, heh)

If you had a spreadsheet with each county’s population, you could probably do a per capita map fairly easily

Yes. Prayers for your son.

There is no way to tell actual numbers on coronavirus. Most people will not be able to get tested, nor will they go in for a test. I wouldn’t. I would only go in to a medical office or clinic if I couldn’t breathe or fever was super high. Same with most people. If I broke my leg I wouldn’t go in at this point. So most people with mild case or asymptomatic will stay home in bed and get better. No one will ever know they “would have” tested positive for coronavirus.

All “known cases” are the worst cases. Period. So they shouldn’t play ANY PART in stats at all. Maybe in S Korea where they tested so many. But here? Forget it. On;y the very sick or very rich even get tested.

In six months they will do randomized antibody sampling to get a statistical model of how wide spread the disease actually was.

Thanks for the data leads and suggestions. This was a first attempt. I plan on including / factoring population densities and temperature overlays, international entry points, and more as I get the ideas and have time to implement them.

Everyone be safe.

Does it seem odd to anyone else that New York state has over 15,000 confirmed cases but place like California - where it was intentionally introduced through the cruise passengers - still has just 1500? Is this the possibility that New York has inflated numbers or that their just too ignorant to cover their mouths or wash their hands?
