GUARDIA Civil are cracking down on movements across the country with a particular focus on roads which lead to the coasts.
It means if you are caught travelling with families and suitcases to your second residence, you will be ordered to return to your home with a fine of between 601 and 30,000.
The state security forces began the high impact operation today in a bid to stop people planning to break the coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
One of the biggest focuses has been on stopping people heading to the Costa del Sol after Andalucia surpassed 1,000 cases today.
Guardia Civil will have controls at the access roads across the AP-46, the AP-7 and the A-7.
Motorways will see checkpoints set up in the middle of the road, an almost unprecedented step only reserved for New Years Eve and in a bid to catch dangerous criminals or terrorists.
Agents will also be stationed at the toll road booths on the AP-46 and motorways on the Costa del Sol.
They will carry out random checks on any drivers who arouse suspicion or are clearly defying the restrictions laid out in the royal decree.

This should be of interest to preppers whose plan includes bugging out. As I mentioned in another thread, Spain is your laboratory rat.
Just blast Freebird and floor it through the checkpoints!!
If you want to go out in dramatic fashion :)
Plagues get spread that way.
One of the cholera epidemics that hit NYC was spread by people fleeing the city.
They were infectious and carried it with them and it spread to the surrounding downstate area.
Cities are the LAST place to be when TSHTF. I wonder how many people consider that when they choose to live there.
Spain has a thing for huge numbers. I guess they figure it’s good to scare people into submission. 30,000 Euros for violating a travel ban, 3,000 Euros for walking outside without a reason, etc. It’s always been that way and they have things like a 10,000 Euro fine for cutting down a pine tree without permission, 175,000 or more for not properly filing your taxes, it goes on and on. They also offer discounts for paying early. when we first moved there I got a 600 Euro fine for crossing a solid line on the highway but they reduced it to 300 Euros if I paid it within 30 days.
Are you kidding??!!
Some of those amount would ruin a person.
Wow.
“They mean business but so far things are only getting worse.”
Maybe they can change their motto to Get woke, cause a nationwide epidemic and die
The blame in Spain falls mainly on The planes.
“After the march the women scattered across the country and the rest, as they say, is history.”
In one day, just on the roads from Granada to the coast, they turned back over 200 cars. The only ones they fined were people trying to use back roads instead of the main highway, anywhere from 300 to 1000 Euros. That was after enough warning that you would have had to have woken up from a coma like Rick Grimes to not know you weren’t supposed to be traveling.
