Victoria's Secret is closed for business until March 29.

The lingerie retailer posted an announcement on its website informing customers that it has temporarily closed its online business just days after it confirmed that it is closing all its retail locations in the US and Canada until March 29.

"With constant breaking news regarding COVID-19, we have made the decision to temporarily close our online store through March 29. As with our previous announcement regarding store closures, we will be paying associates who are impacted by these actions," the company said in an announcement on its site.

"We ask for your understanding during this time relative to orders you may have placed that have not yet been fulfilled. Our customer care team will be sending out update emails in the next few days regarding order status," it added.

Perhaps they were given a heads-up by Fedex and UPS that their shipments aren’t going to be delivered anytime soon?

Large online retailers need large warehouses and many employees. Even though there is no direct public contact, normal operations cannot continue if social distancing is the goal.

Hey

Since the Me Too movement VS has been labeled as sexest, candy for males, bad behavior, whatever. Anyway, bottom line as women who shop there are now shamed for it. Coronavirus is not the major cause of their drop in sales.

It’s not just that.

Their marketing strategy is dated and does not appeal to a lot of your young women today.

I am will not be sorry if they go under.

TTIWWOP 😁 I had the tough job of managing the VS credit and collections line many years ago. Each week they changed the posters in my office that had huge 8' posters that were on three of my walls in my office. It was a tough job and I had to do it.

They were already on the ropes before the Chinee Plague, by doing this now they may gain some advantage claiming the business failed as a result of force majeur in future bankruptcy litigation.

All those frillies that come off so you can use your tongue ..... were created in China.

An interesting factoid is that, many Chinese that eat rats and bats, then go to work for pennies a day turning out clothing, shoes, tools and even food stuff.

Pretty much, if an American truck delivers it ( which is EVERYTHING you're looking at right now ), it originated in China.

Except those rolling deli's full o' US grade A beef.
