Just a simple prayer request for family.
Dad's (91) death was expected last year after a few years of dementia decline. Mom's (88) death was sort of a shock, even though her heart was weak. She was very clear minded and engaging. She told my sister last week she was dreading the anniversary of Dad's death. Like so many couples, they were very close.
It's not uncommon for grief to reunite couples.
Both were very strong Christians.

Yes. They were good parents: hard working, depression era kids. Dad was a WWII vet and mom a NC mountain girl.

I’m very sorry about your loss, xzins. It’s wonderful that your parents can be together again, but their being together without you (for now) is sad.

Prayers - similar loss here a while back. Expected mom’s passing and then Dad months later was a shock. It’s so hard!
May God hold you and yours close during this time. May their memories last forever!

So very sorry for your loss. Good to know your parents are reunited in the Kingdom.
To: xzins
They are together again, and that is a good thing. I lost both my parents within a year of each other back in 2000-2001, so I know what you are going through. But be glad they are back together. You will be sad that you no longer have either of them to reach out and talk to, but rejoice the many many years you had with both.
May your prayers offer you solace, and memories provide you with many happy thoughts. 8>)

It’s there in front of your mind, and it’s not easily distracted. For bits at a time. Those bits of time will get longer, I suppose, but maybe not.
