What happens then?
The only person who has said he will fix the economy and then actually did it was President Trump.
If things are still bad, he will have even more votes than he would have if the economy recovered.

Yep.. I started preparing for this in mid-January. I even have yucky powdered milk if I run out of fresh. Wish I lived on a farm!
Per KSTP-TV in Minneapolis-St Paul, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases (in Minnesota) has risen to 54 - up 19 from yesterday.
At least three of the 54 cases fall into the community spread category.
At last check (yesterday evening), none of the cases were in the hospital. That may have changed.
The total number of tests administered as of now has been about 1900.
There is a lot of misinformation out there, both overstating the problem and understating it.
Public officials have pivoted back and forth between trying not to cause panic and then trying to get people to change their behavior.
That has caused a lot of confusion.
Folks here have been studying and debating all aspects of this for several weeks, but most people out there have not.
Yours is the first direct or adjacent contact story I have heard from anyone on FR thus far. Prayers to you and yours.

not true at all. They have plenty of stock and are working to get it from distribution to the stores.

The numbers can tell you the story.
If the virus was allowed to work its will uninterrupted it would take a month and a half to infect anyone that could be infected.
To the extent social distancing slows that down, it will take longer.
At this point my guess is that the school year is over for this year.
How much more can they take?
Those that survive are going to be traumatized to a certain extent. Health care workers will end up with PTSD.
