Stay safe out there.
Any updates on TX?
Thanks, LF :)
My grandfather was a POW of the Russians in WW I during the revolution. My grandfather was fighting for Germany. He left some interesting memoirs of his time there. He helped the Russians by machining parts for them in a small village. Then he was able to escape and walk back to Germany!
maybe it was Freepers..because they had it when I posted.
staples still has it
“Its going to get easier though. Say we are 6 weeks down the road from now. 20% of population has had it and resolved. Cases are declining due to social distancing measures. The health system is holding up.
Area by area, they can ease or tighten restrictions, or go to a full on movement stop, based on trying to maintain an acceptable level of infections.
It will be a strange time. Restaurants are open, then they are closed for two weeks (those businesses, and many others, will have a hard time adjusting) Schools are open for a time, then closed for two weeks, then opened again.
More and more as the percentage of population thats had it resolves, restrictions will become less necessary. Those who have had it and cleared can be given a green light status, i.e. they can move about at any time. You might even see jobs become available just for those people with resolved cases.”
That’s a really good summary, and seems to synch up with the fun in Wuhan. I doubt our ‘wizards’ on Wall Street have worked through this (at all), so I do expect a bit more downside from them...but there ‘might’ be a light at the end of the tunnel, even if takes a long time to reach it.
“I call 10,000.”
We may indeed. All that’s been lost so far is prelude.
In fact all the market turmoil and the international spread, this is just the end of Act I.
A lot still to come.
I've had it in my head that the market would stablize and that we'd be over this in a couple of months. I'm not sure what to think now but coming up with options for the future in a much different economy.

There is plenty. Problem is every manager we’ve talked to said they only stock tp at opening. Once it’s gone, it’ gone. Never mind they have a ton in the back. If people would see it being continuously being restocked, they wouldn’t worry. The store managers are the ones at fault for playing games.
I am happy to say that people who got their flu shot have a layer of protection from the CoronaVirus.
I dont know that is general knowledge ...
the problem with letting a virus ‘run thru the pop’ is the assumption that the virus will mutate to a weakened state the further the spread. From what we see worldwide over the past 3 months, that assumption is contradicted. In fact, if the virus was around since Oct or Nov with few infected, it’s mutated stronger with time, not weaker.
It does seem to strike the right balance between killing / incapacitating people and not being so virulent that it wipes out too many of the hosts too quickly.
It could also be a bio-weapon in development and accidentally released too soon.
The most plausible theory I read (to this layman) is it is a SARS vaccine that was being tested on Chinese test subjects and it wasn't ready for prime time.
But I'm still not convinced that Brennan and Clapper didn't have one of their agents in Wuhan drop a vile of the disease on the street knowing full well how it would spread around the globe and give a boost to communism.
Not yet... just saw this

School is over for many states. TX and others have requested to waive the STARR test.
No, apparently it us not the case as well.
Sorry.
I bought some Decon 30 a while back (basically thyme oil - safe for children & pets)
While I quit drinking for years, last night I purchased a bottle of Glenlivet Founders Reserve.
And I’m wondering how long it will last.
My 20-something son who is certified in mold and asbestos remediation, says if he gets it and recovers he will be in high demand. I told him dont go trying to get it!
