On March 6th, a video was shared on social media showing Turkish security forces use an armored vehicle, with a rope to pull down the fence at the Greek border and allow migrants to pass.
The vehicle, according to Greek media is one of the “HIZIR / ATES” type vehicles with daytime and nighttime border surveillance vehicles, which Turkey received from May to August 2019, financed by a program for which 75% were paid for the EU.
Furthermore, Turkish special police operations units were shown pointing their high-powered rifles at the Greek border patrol cars.

I don’t know. I just thought I’d put it out here on FR for the larger group to discuss. I honestly don’t understand how it would work being an EU member state.
Full disclosure. I can’t stand Erdogan and would like to see Turkey under Erdogan booted out of NATO.
That does not make me believe anything printed as negative to Erdogan just ‘cause it “fits” what I think and suspect of him.
The story is possible Russian Fake news or a repeat of previous unconfirmed reports.

The images presented cannot be confirmed as representing what is “reported”. And all references that can be found regarding the sources as the “Greek media” are NOT from any “Greek media” but merely other reports duplicating the same unsourced “Geek media” reference.
Is it POSSIBLE there is some truth to the report, but no one presents it.
Does the Greek military not have should-fired anti-tank weapons? That thing should have become a smoking wreck the minute it started pulling down the fence.
And if the “migrants” - Read that “Fighting Age Moslem Males” - want to continue to try and cross a sovereign border where they’re NOT WANTED, then some 7.62 NATO applied judiciously from SAWs will discourage that.
Every single culture has the Right to defend itself from invasion. And this is the just the latest attempt by the 7th century savages to invade again.

Southfront is an extension of ANNA or an Abkhazian News Network. The staff and management are mostly Russian and they don’t hide it. They are also doung the most unbiased and the most informative war reporting, especially regarding the Middle East. Their reporters are reporting from locations others don’t dare to enter opting for retelling lies from partisan sources instead.

And it is a Russian registered company, and like I said the particular story has no verification in “Greek media”, which you’d think would be the main sources, but alas not.
I guess they should remember the example set by the 300 Spartans. It sort of worked before.

Erdogan is toying with the idea of turning it into an essentially armed invasion, I hope the Greeks are moving up their own armor and fueling their aircraft.
Worse odds have been over come in the past by the GREEKS.

If Germanywere to announce it was sending an armored division to the Greek/Turkish border it would make a difference in Erdogan’s calculations.

A culture that cuts off your head for NOT believing what they want you to believe has ZERO value.
I know your post was sarcasm, friend; but the Greeks need to kick these peoples’ asses - HARD - if they try to cross the border.
Especially since those moslem hordes MAY be carrying coronavirus; and since this is a “global pandemic” where we’re ALL supposed to be quarantined, panic-stricken, and hyper-sensitive, then the Greeks ought to “not let this crisis go to waste”, completely shut down their borders and FORCEFULLY prevent “the potential spread of coronavirus” amongst THEIR people from foreign invaders, Oh - I mean “migrants”.
And if the Turks persist, blow up every vehicle that even remotely comes NEAR the border fence.
If I were Greece I would ask NATO/EU for help as I am being attacked. Put the Brussels NATO and EU bureaucracy rear end in a sling. Then I would use anti-tank weapons on the Turks and knock the hell out of them.
I assume the fence is on sovereign Greek territory yes?
Hit the vehicle with an anti-tank missile.
Let’s just add a war on top of everything else, let’s just get it all over with.
