He's loved way too much by the left; that raises a red flag IMHO.
I thought Trump learned his lesson from Comey, I guess not.
Change my mind, am I wrong?
He is a scientist first, he said as much has the credentials to back it up and openly admits that he is data driven what more do you want from the guy’s who job is to be the chief scientist for the outbreak. He has 30+ years of epidemic experience he serve under Reagan and all the other administrations since. He is arguably the voice of scientific reason out of the whole group who has been speaking publicly. As a fellow scientist I appreciate his candor and no sugar coating of the message this man is saving lives with his message and work for that we should thank him as the patriot he is.
I agree. He has stated that the mask shortage is a “failure” - so of course the MSM declared that a failure of the President. Then Fauci came back and said he meant a “failure of the CDC”.
The 80,000 figure is bull$hit beyond words. Wuhan suffered at a minimum 25K deaths, and over a million infections according to folks on the ground there.
```
FWIW:
Because that statement is prone to be misinterpreted by the “its just the flu” folks, there ought to be a qualifier like: a minimum 25K deaths in 2-3 months. Else people will use the US annual rate comparison to minimize.
I believe in the case of Washington State that sick Chinese have fled China aboard container ships as stowaways.
```
WA State’s northern border with Canada is just marked with a sign in many places or none at all
likely more honest that Chinese numbers.
Don’t get taken in by the “He’s an anti-Trumper” stories...he’s an example of why Trump is a great leader and President - he doesn’t require folks to stick to a tight script as long as they are doing the proper job...and he allows a bit of diversity of thought...
bump
Dr. Anthony Fauci is a lefty but i don’t think he is going to compromise his reputation for politics.
I agree that COVID-19 is not a crisis in the USA.
However - you blew the math.
60 divided by 2,982 is 2.0% - not 0.02%.
However - the USA is doing the smallest amount of infection testing compared to other medically advanced nations.
If we did mass testing like South Korea, our death rate would instantly go down - to 1.0% or less - because 99% of Americans are not infected.
Those diseases are less contagious than covid-19, however devastatingly more lethal, and are contagious to various degrees. The lepers are the most pitiful with their face features literally dissolving. They are shunned by family and friends and end up begging on the streets. Plague is very communicable and has wiped out large percentage of populations in various countries in the past.
On the other hand, while covid-19, like the common cold (another virus from the corona family) is very contagious but kills extremely few healthy people under age 50, children seldom die from it, older folks without existing issues of health are also unlikely to die from covid-19.
So all in all, if there was a choice, I would rather be sick with covid-19 than plague, drug-resistant-TB, syphilis, AIDS, yellow fever, Ebola or Leprosy, any time of the day.
What’s your definition of hoarding? Exact number of toilet paper rolls and bottles of Pirelli, please.
I have found people at the top of the industry that have been leaders in that industry probably know what they are talking about.
This.
That’s the point isn’t it? “The CDC didnt hit the ground running in early January”
What advise is good advise?
Well now
All the ski areas are closing
downhill anyways
BTW; garbage in, garbage out
How can the numbers from China and/or Iran be believed??
Jeez...
So what is your point?
perhaps you need to re-read the previous post to the person it was directed.
What does the existence or lack of existence of a Washington fence have to do with anything ??
Dr. Fauci care far more about his medical reputation than he does about any political issue.
There is **one** thing physicians and surgeons care about more than anything else. It is **more** important to them than the welfare of the patient.
What is that **one** thing?
Answer: Their professional reputation for competence about their fellow physicians and surgeons.
