Trump didn’t ban flights from China remotely early enough to stop it from getting here from China. The Chinese communists are getting free propaganda from a confused public not made any better by fauci. Many more deaths he keeps saying. Well China had only 5k out of a country’ of 1.5 billion. ...Common flu Death rate per the total infected is 0.1%. Projected infected to death rate of covid-19 is 1%. Ten times common flu. The issues are math.
Is that ‘projected’ rate of 1% from the same Dr. in Ohio that said she ‘guesstimated’ that 100,000 people in Ohio have the WuFlu, when they only have 13 cases right now. So Ohio has 33 times more cases than the entire US.
According to WorldOmeter.com, we have 2982 cases in the US with 60 deaths. That’s 0.02, much smaller than the flu rate.
And H1N1 (Swine Flu) death rate is listed as being between 1% and 4% here.

Yes, it probably will rise, but the last I heard no one under 50 who had been infected had died.

You gotta hand it to Trump, it's like a ball game and they keep trying to strike him out and when that doesn't work they hit him with the ball and he walks to the next base. Then the next player goes to bat. It's Trump again (cloned for the sake of anology/argument) and he gets walked to base after getting hit with the ball intentionally. And though he has hit some fouls, his batting average is so good they just keep hitting him, trying to throw curve balls, sliders, breaking balls or just plain hit him again and again - and ultimately Trump (all the Trump at bats) either hits home runs or walks all the way to home plate and wins the game.

That’s true. And Fauci is OK. His statements have consistently reflected what the data is telling us.
But I don’t think your comment would have been true a week ago. I remember telling my wife several times that Trump was focused too much on avoiding panic and was not communicating the gravity of the situation.
That all changed on the day Trump cut off travel from Europe and Fauci, on that same day, told us that the infected population in the U.S. could be in the millions. I don’t think Fauci would have made a comment like that if he felt the President wouldn’t back him up.

Looking back I think it was on purpose to try and keep the panic tamped down as long as possible. People were (and many still are) in denial and there's a process of bringing them slowly to reality. It's to the point now where Trump has to realistic to the American people.
I know for sure that China has everything to do with this virus. In my opinion, it was a follow on to the SARS vaccine that they administered to 300 million of their subjects back in 2007-2008, and the US CDC was going to give all of us as well. Until they discovered that it makes all who receive it very vulnerable to what? Yup, any CORONAVIRUS.
Most likely one of the lab techs from the Wuhan biolab sold an infected animal at the food market. They don’t pay them $hit for what they live with in that lab, and many Chinese factory workers sell their products on the street after work to earn extra money.
If they were testing that vaccine on monkeys or bats, it became food, guaranteed. (The food sucks in that province.) so Beijing covered it up after it got loose at first. The 80,000 figure is bull$hit beyond words. Wuhan suffered at a minimum 25K deaths, and over a million infections according to folks on the ground there.
Yes, America waited longer than optimal for stopping flights out of China and Asia. But do you suppose that our officials might have had your attitude that this ain’t $hit, so why worry?
