I agree regarding the ABJECT FEAR in the ‘educational community’ - to having their subjects, I mean students, dispersed - possibly with parents looking over their shoulders.
Imagine trying to get the kids to HATE men, HATE whites, HATE straights, HATE America, HATE Christians, and, of course HATE God...when parents are closer to these kids than they are.
In the end, perhaps this is just what we need.
I’m hearing a lot of anecdotal stories of people doing just that. Using their neighborhood links to inquire what people need, what others can do to help. Somebody sick, we’ll come mow the lawn and put the garbage cans out. Some senior can’t fight crowds in the grocers? What do you need, we’ll get it, you stay home warm and cozy.
Cajun Navy-style. We can all become a Salvation Army.
That’s the American spirit right there.
No, thank God.

Journalist turned away after temperature screening. His organization appears to be CGTN an English language channel that is Chinese owned.
“People are freaking out at supermarkets because of the realization that there may be a dearth of truck drivers able or even willing to drive to the stores.”
Naa, they still haven’t processed that. They just don’t know when the stores will stock what they want again...not quite the same.
The loss of basic infrastructure is still beyond them...for now.
Many of them really need it. The first two meals of the day. This is an investment in the future. It’s the least we can do to provide some nourishment that costs us very little, since we were paying for the school programs anyway.
Okay, I’m Italian. Give them something to eat.
Yes, it is. Since we are going to have to meet this challenge, we are going to be stronger for it as a nation. It’s going to change us forever.
We have to manage to keep our liberty through it all, or demand it back when this is over.
Ohio Governors Alarming Claim About The Number Of Coronavirus Cases Was Based On A Guesstimate
- see https://dailycaller.com/2020/03/13/ohio-governor-coronavirus-100000/
"I am not saying there are absolutely for certain 100,000 people, Dr. Amy Acton, the director of the Ohio Department of Health, said at a press conference Friday. Im saying Im guesstimating. If Im guesstimating community spread, thats my best number.
^ is why people are untrusting and suspicious of government. Throwing numbers out there without calculation as to *how* you came up with that number is disgraceful.
The public deserves better during these trying times.
My thoughts exactly. No more drag queen story hours. No more 1619 history program. Families belong together.
As we discussed yesterday, we _know_ that number is crazy high.
How?
Because 15% of cases need hospitalization, and 15,000 new folks showing up in Ohio hospitals would be the top story in every Ohio newspaper, and probably the lead story throughout the country.
What is scary is not just that the governor was way off on the number, but that nobody on his staff had enough of a clue to explain to him why it was impossible.
Lookner just showed a pic of a bar in DC with a line to get it ..
st paticks day weekend
we are so screwed
Beaches packed in Florida.
How many spring breakers are there? UGGGGH!
Yeah - and these are the people that will help lead us through this. Good grief.
Good link—my guess would be nationally in the 15K range which would mean nationally a thousand new hospital patients.
There is a little stress going on now, but in a week we will all have lots of press stories about this—as the hot spot area hospitals will be in big trouble—Boston, New Rochelle, San Jose, Seattle for sure.
A week after that—many big city hospitals will be in trouble...
And, one can determine absolutely nothing from the confirmed death to confirmed case rate on any flu.
We had 222,000 confirmed flu cases this flu season with 22,000 confirmed deaths. But, the estimated number that had the flu was 36 million.
Anyone claiming there is an accurate death rate for Corono is lying. But, it is quite possible the actual death rate isn't much different than any other severe strains of the flu.
Thanks for reminding me—DC area hospitals will be in trouble in two weeks for sure.
