Many of them really need it. The first two meals of the day. This is an investment in the future. It’s the least we can do to provide some nourishment that costs us very little, since we were paying for the school programs anyway.

Okay, I’m Italian. Give them something to eat.

Re: the 100,000 number, but the latest is that the doctor was using a "guesstimate"

Ohio Governor’s Alarming Claim About The Number Of Coronavirus Cases Was Based On A ‘Guesstimate’

- see https://dailycaller.com/2020/03/13/ohio-governor-coronavirus-100000/

"I am not saying there are absolutely for certain 100,000 people,” Dr. Amy Acton, the director of the Ohio Department of Health, said at a press conference Friday. “I’m saying I’m guesstimating. If I’m guesstimating community spread, that’s my best number.”

^ is why people are untrusting and suspicious of government. Throwing numbers out there without calculation as to *how* you came up with that number is disgraceful.

The public deserves better during these trying times.

I heard on the news, this morning, that there’s supposed to be added SNAP $$ to their folks’ EBT cards, for not being able to eat, at school.

They shouldn’t be getting both, right?

How about $15/week added to SNAP....and NO freaking free school meals?

Their parent’s can cook, or teach them how to budget shop and cook, like most of us have had to do, at some point, over the years.
