White House coronavirus expert Dr. Anthony Fauci said on Friday morning that the current state of crisis in the US would last for two months and that 'it's all on the table' in terms of how much more severe things may become.
In a series of interviews with Good Morning America and CBS This Morning, Fauci gave his bleak assessment of what is still to come.
'It's certainly going to get worse before it gets better...there's no doubt we have not peaked yet,' he said.
Asked directly if America was heading towards a complete shutdown like China and Italy, he would not rule it out.
'I'm not sure we're going to get to that.
'I think that would be really rather dramatic, but I can tell you that all things are on the table.

Global economy will still be in a depression though. It is going to take years to come out of that. You can’t just turn an economy back on. Once things are closed, jobs are lost, houses are foreclosed, etc. etc., There is no way to say, ok this virus hysteria is over, back to work.

I think his voice is refreshing.
The “problem” is that his words are plastered around as headlines. No one reads the quotes. No one reads the context.
The problem isn’t his words. The problem is lazy readers and a closed minded population.
Readers and posters react to the smallest comments. They cannot read his statement and say, “Yeah...worst case? Maybe.”
Instead, if they don’t agree with the headline they start screaming about cutting off his head.
