White House coronavirus expert Dr. Anthony Fauci said on Friday morning that the current state of crisis in the US would last for two months and that 'it's all on the table' in terms of how much more severe things may become.
In a series of interviews with Good Morning America and CBS This Morning, Fauci gave his bleak assessment of what is still to come.
'It's certainly going to get worse before it gets better...there's no doubt we have not peaked yet,' he said.
Asked directly if America was heading towards a complete shutdown like China and Italy, he would not rule it out.
'I'm not sure we're going to get to that.
'I think that would be really rather dramatic, but I can tell you that all things are on the table.

If Faici were as good at planning for pandemics as for giving dire prognoses after they arrive, he wouldnt get to be on TV every day whining about a dearth of testing kits.
No question, they’ll raise the waterline at whatever opportunity they have. Just as they did with the (IMO planned by them) 9/11. No crisis goes to waste.
I’m in a blue state with lib family members. What the general public have on their side that they will never let go of is the slow rate of getting to testing, which could have led to the containment that this fantastic article points out only countries who dealt with SARS(1) are the only ones who got on top of that in time. Sure, Korea tested more, but they didn’t cut off flights from China as quickly (they have unfortunately pro-North Korea so somewhat positive China leadership), but they go in the Western bucket in terms of countries that didn’t shut it down quickly enough (by a combination of travel bans and early testing and contact tracing, btw) and move on to the higher-loss mitigation phase Trump now faces.
No, none of the Dems would have done better, but to the general non-MAGA public, the inefficiency in getting tests out may be unforgivable because it plays into the earlier hysteria that Trump would be the wrong guy for a crisis.
According to your logic, marshall law is also on the table.
Exact quote, please. YOu made a claim. I cant find it . Please provide the quote. I might have missed it.

I don’t fault RummyChick for posting news and relevant stories—and following FR guidelines in terms of headlines.
RummyChick - you’re moving from drama queen territory to flat out irresponsible now. You know the headline is misleading. But if you cannot convince people with facts, sensationalize and, essentially, lie (mislead).
Dont really like the way he is handling this..but maybe it is at trumps directive
Are you still in France, still infected?
Looks more like Italian man pilots a captured UFO...
Where does it say they have never discussed it?
That is not what that says.
He said it’s on the table.
How can you possibly read that and see the words they never discussed it.
WHY is this a crisis at all? Your cold is more of a crisis.
Fauci is behind the open info curve
Six months
CDC hasnt even addressed the third phase yet
I am not in France. It was a hypothetical.
I would really like to watch the NBA since I am at risk for th is disease and need to stay home
Please get the NBA on that phone and tell them you know best
Ill never get over this boards arrogance at times and the fact that sometimes the people on it think they know absolutely everything about everything and the people even their beloved leaders put in charge are complete idiots if they dont say exactly what they want to hear.
DId the guy say what is in the headline or not?
YES he did
Just because you dont like ...does mean he didnt say it
“If they want to give us $8.5 billion, we’ll take the money”
Therefore....... “If they want a shut down, we’ll take a shut down” seems a better response than fighting a losing battle. The swift and aggressive recovery from the bogus shut down will find favor and acceptance.
Russia, Russia, Russia will not prevail as virus, virus, virus
What can’t people just admit when they are wrong? You wrote that he said ‘he doesn’t think we’ll do that.”
He never said that!
YOU wrote the only ‘false headline’. The way things are going all the evidence points to the article’s headline being spot on. A complete shutdown is definitely on the table.
40, according to JHU CSSE.
They can't even get their stories straight when the numbers are small.
Perhaps they just couldn't get a third person so they could count above 40?
