Is It Bad to Stay Inside For an Entire Day? Here's how a lazy day spent indoors actually affects your health.

One day inside probably won’t hugely affect your health—but it’s not great to constantly stay cooped up from morning until dark. The biggest issue is that entering hibernation mode means you don’t get any exposure to natural light. Sunlight tends to improve your mood, and it helps your body produce vitamin D, which has been shown to help regulate the immune system, reduce inflammation in the body, and more. Sunlight also helps keep your internal body clock on schedule; your circadian rhythm plays a major part in regulating your appetite, sleep schedule, and energy levels...

Also, a study out of University of Glasgow in Scotland found that people who walked, ran, or biked in nature had a lower risk of poor mental health than people who exercised at the gym or at home.

There is a season for seclusion, for spiritual and or physical reasons, but as a recourse to preventing the spread of Covid-19, I think that prolonged staying inside rather than getting fresh air and sunshine (weather permitting) in spacious places actually works to weaken the immune system, and fosters sickness when one member of the household is sick.

Curl up under a sunny window with a good book. And a cat.

So what kind of shape do you think we’ll all be in by Day 87 of coronavirus lockdown?

So grab a lawn chair, a cold drink, and a good book.

Go for a walk or work in the garden to grow your own food so you don’t have to go to the stores for it.

Unless you live in Seattle where you don’t see the sun nine months out of the year.

You can stay at home all day, but hey, what's this? A door that leads to the outside? You mean I can go outside at home and check out the garden or the neighborhood?

One interesting aspect to the HVAC systems here in central Texas for the newer homes is that they are designed to run a minimum number of minutes per hour. The newer houses are so well-insulted that they need some air movement to keep the house from getting stale or pockets of humidity. If the AC or furnace isn't running, which is our situation at the moment, the HVAC will cycle the fan on to circulate fresh air from the outside.

In addition, there is a large (and expensive) filter in the HVAC system that will filter out a great deal of the gunk in the air. While the filters are designed to last a year, the HVAC system benefits from changing the filters twice a year (tight-wads in the neighborhood take theirs out and "clean" them before re-using them).

My doctor is a big fan of Vitamin D. He advises me to take 50,000 IU at least once a week.

More people will say enough is enough, while governments across the world are reluctant to allow more freedom, and the MSM uses the coronavirus as its main weapon against the President.

Sounds good, thanks be to God.

Home health care professionals recommend that shut-ins who can't get out sit with an arm in front of a window, preferably facing south or towards the sun at whatever time of day that is, for as little as an hour a day. Even this little bit greatly improves the body's production of Vitamin D.

There’s also one for your car’s heating/cooling system.

Also very expensive to replace.

I wonder is that is related to the spread of Covid-19?

A state-by-state breakdown of US coronavirus cases (note that it is the percentage that would be more revealing, but which is not provided): Cases of novel coronavirus have been confirmed in 44 states as of Thursday, March 12.

That will be (somewhat) effective only if the window is open. Glass blocks the UV rays necessary to stimulate Vitamin D production.

Home health care professionals recommend that shut-ins who can't get out sit with an arm in front of a window, preferably facing south or towards the sun at whatever time of day that is, for as little as an hour a day. Even this little bit greatly improves the body's production of Vitamin D.

That depends on what your location is and what season it is. In the NE little is gained by even outside exposure to the sun. And,

Vitamin D is produced by the body when the skin is hit by UVB rays, with 7-dehydrocholesterol being the resulting chemical. But most glass windows block this wavelength meaning you can't reap the health benefits. -https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/features/can-you-get-a-tan-and-absorb-vitamin-d-through-a-window-a6895626.html

This is Seattle. You can check and see if there is any poop next to the front door.

, there is a large (and expensive) filter in the HVAC system that will filter out a great deal of the gunk in the air.

Yes, they can really help. However, as concerns COVID-19

Viruses are roughly 100 times smaller than bacteria, and typically range from 0.004 to 0.1 microns in size. This means even the most powerful air filters would struggle to purge a virus from the air. COVID-19 belongs to a family of viruses known as coronaviruses. The 2013 SARS epidemic was also caused by a coronavirus, which was 0.1 microns in size. According to Dr. Mariea Snell, Assistant Director of the Online Doctor of Nursing Program at Maryville University, the size of COVID-19 is approximately 0.125 microns.

Alen Corp, the company behind one of Digital Trends’ best air purifiers of 2020 , recommended using a filter treated with an anti-microbial coating claimed to kill mold, mildew, fungus, bacteria, and viruses on contact...

There are two primary types of air filters: HEPA and PECO. HEPA is an acronym for “High, Efficiency, Particulate, Air.” On the other hand, PECO stands for “Photo Electrochemical Oxidation.”..“There are air purification technologies that can destroy biological contaminants such as mold spores and viruses (such as H1N1 & SARS),” he said. “However, - https://www.digitaltrends.com/home/can-air-purifiers-protect-from-coronavirus/

Out of 310 million? I could see a pandemic like SARS (which this is a type) affecting hundreds of thousands with ten thousand death like during 0bama (who didn’t do anything the MSM is accusing Trump of not doing while 0bama played golf); the MSM is blowing this way out of proportion. Be careful yeah. Do all the necessary sanitizing, etc.
