Is anyone seeing runs on supplies like toilet paper, bleach, etc.?
I was at the grocery store yesterday the TP aisle was pretty much cleared out. Most household cleaning supplies were available although bleach was limited.
Believe it or not hand soap/sanitizer was available in limited quantities.
Rest of groceries looked to be good.
That’s Funny,
Right there!
Clorox wipes are gone the minute they arrive,
“Good thing toilet paper hasnt changed much since the Civil War.”
I have a stack of old Chicago Tribunes for emergency shortages.
1) If one is quarantined for some reason, it may not be possible to get out, to get more TP.
2) If one is quarantined for some reason, then 100% of toilet usage will be in the home, not spread out at workplace, other places. So, likely to need more for home use.
Just my thoughts.
Went to Costco. There are limits on tp, water, and paper towels. The toilet paper and paper towels were all gone. I can understand why someone would hoard toilet paper, but why hoard paper towels?
“...but cannot for the like of me understand the TP shortage.”
If I’m stuck in the house for a month...I want a quality 2-ply to keep me company.
Smart move. We just buy progresso soup. I'm sure yours tastes a lot better.
What you are missing is the second order effects of this virus becoming widespread. This means that if we have quarantines, lots of people are going to go to work, including the truck driver who delivers the toilet paper and the stockers and put it on your shelves. People are preparing to be in isolation for several weeks, and when thats the case the most precious substance known to mankind is toilet paper.

Purple Passion or 151 Bacardi? Because ordinary drinking alcohol isnt strong enough - you need about 60% alcohol to kill viruses.
FYI, there are recipes online for making your own hand sanitizer using high alcohol drinks and aloe vera.
I had a bottle of hand sanitizer that expired in 2010 stuck back in a cabinet. I decided to investigate how firm the date was. What I learned is that, because the bottles are not air tight, the alcohol gradually evaporates and the sanitizer is considered no longer effective when the alcohol content falls below 60%.
So 60% is evidently the floor for alcohol content in a sanitizer.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends using hand sanitizers that contain a minimum of 60 percent alcohol.
Does toilet paper protect you from the Corona Virus? /s
:)
Need eggs and chivesevery year overrun with Polk weed. A new crop is just around the corner...
The “City of EVIL”’s Walmart stocks of hand sanitizer, toilet paper, and bleach were in short supply Tuesday when I was there.
Saw NO masks on people.
Had wings at Buffalo Wild Wings around 8 pm last night, the place was DEAD. Actually I prefer their take out service, but we were already out at bible study.
I order online exactly what and the way I want it. Pay for it online. Wait until the site says they are preparing my order. Drive to BWW. Walk in, tell them I have a to go order and my name, employee goes into the kitchen, comes back with my bagged order, thanks and hands it to me, out the door I go. PERFECT!
I make a lot of flatbreads.
They can make a lot of cookies though.
50lbs of flour would make a LOT of cookies.
Hope they bought sugar or those cookies will suck.
Haha...
At the local market there are limits till April on Wipes, gloves, masks, hand soap, & one other item that slips my mind .
They are out of the first three items, and have put limit on # of cases of bottled water.
Low sodium tunafish is gone, but other canned items are ok.
Same goes for cleaning supplies, paper towels, etc.
