Time to stay calm and continue on....
Yesterday's thread is here:

I was a victim of smallpox as a child, around age 8. It obviously did not kill me but left permanent marks on my face and other parts. It was brutal sickness and I still remember how sick I was.
“I cancelled my trip to Morocco which would be in 2 weeks...I dont want to be stuck in a third world country and the panic that could ensue.”
SMART. I canceled a cruise in Asia last month. No not ‘that’ cruise, but the cruise was a disaster for those who went as it missed all its major ports, particularly Vietnam.
Then again, there’s some Mensa babe here who so smart that she’s heading out on a cruise. Too funny!
The Five Stages of WuFlu
Denial:
- It is no worse than the flu
- Only Asians get it
- Our healthcare is just so much better
Anger:
- The CDC is blowing it
- Trump should have shut down all flights
- I cant believe they value stocks more than life
Bargaining:
- If I get five more rolls of toilet paper I will be okay
- Teleworking and online classes will keep us safe
- But I needed to complete my preps anyway
Depression:
- I cant believe things are this screwed up, its only getting worse
- Its no use, we are going to be just like Italy
- Dont talk to me, Coachella was the only bright spot in my life
Acceptance:
- Once you get it youll have immunity so there is that
- Sure its going to be rough for a while but things will work out, hopefully
- I sure miss (insert here) (grandma, grandpa, mom, dad, wife, husband, brother, sister, son, daughter, friend)
You can pick any stage youd like. As the psychologists say, they are all valid.
COLOMBIA
Bogotá.- This Wednesday, the Colombian Ministry of Health announced that there are 6 additional confirmed cases of coronavirus, which adds up to nine cases in the country so far. The new patients are in Bogotá, Medellín and Cartagena, according to a statement the Ministry published on its Twitter account.
In addition to this, Colombia decided to isolate people arriving from China, Spain, France and Italy in an attempt to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, which so far leaves nine people infected in the country, President Iván Duque said Wednesday. AFP reported.
“But I can assure you, it is not politically possible and not going to happen.”
People are able to coalesce in times of threat to the tribe. It’s in our DNA. In much of America there is still enough cohesion to make the impossible, possible.
Because many do see/perceive an existential threat that could touch them too. Whether that’s a real concern is irrelevant.
It would not surprise me to see major social lockdowns in the states.
“Ive asked for proof of that *fact*...that all of the Italian deaths are elderly Asian people...but, so far, no one has provided any.”
I think it’s a rationalization for Normalcy. I read that there is a Chinatown in Northern Italy, likely Milano, and there are 20,000 Chinese there. Well, if only that bunch was being impacted, would they have shutdown all of Northern Italy, and then all of Italy? And that is the answer.
HONDURAS
Honduras confirms first two cases of Covid-19
A woman and a man of Honduran nationality who returned to their country from Europe are the first cases of coronavirus in the country, the third in Central America to register infections of the disease, after Costa Rica and Panama, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday. Honduran.
The infected woman is 37 years old and entered the country on March 5 through the San Pedro Sula airport, on a flight from Switzerland.
He presents a clinical picture of mild illness and has remained in home self-isolation, with medical surveillance since entering the country, the secretary said in a statement.
The 42-year-old man arrived in the country on March 4 through the Tegucigalpa airport, the Honduran capital, from Spain.
He arrived without symptoms but with the virus “in a state of management”, so he is hospitalized, although “clinically stable”.
Wait a couple of weeks and try a Cambodian River cruise on one of the best lines,Viking River Cruises. -Tom

“A Fort Worth rector has tested presumptive positive for the new coronavirus, his church announced on their website.
Rev. Dr. Robert Pace, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church in Fort Worth is hospitalized in isolation, according to a church news release. His wife, Rev. Dr. Jill Walters, tested negative for COVID-19 but will remain in self-quarantine at home for 14 days.
Tarrant County health officials on Tuesday said he had traveled to a conference in Kentucky during late February.”
It is funny but the biggest ship I ever cruised on, Oasis of the Seas with 6000 people, was the least crowded compared to all my other 31+ cruises. Because it was so huge, the walk from my cabin to dining room was 1/4 mile walk each way. And the ship actually had a living forest on outside areas called Central Park with hundreds of tree and bushes, where several birds were living permanently! A group of 3 young violin players played Mozart’s compositions in Central Park every evening and it was wonderful to listen to my favorite composer under the stars and the incomparable balmy ocean breezes which contain the most oxygen than any other places due to the plankton and algae in the oceans.

Yesterday in Beijing,
About half of normal activity.
Bless you through these difficult times.
My guesses...
...things are in the planning stages that cannot yet be disclosed until implemented
...MIL operations based upon potentially destabilized regions
...how MIL operations are affected and/or INfected
...OPSEC
...national vulnerabilities which could be exposed if critical information were to be revealed
Hypothetical examples not offered here...loose lips and all
Where on earth did you catch Smallpox? Glad you recovered! Good Lord! :(
too late
