I grew up with a kind that by the time we got into 7th grade was 6’-10”. Same thing with all of the city high schools. The rule in those days was they couldn’t “recruit” but the district allowed you to attend any HS as long as you had transportation.
Was it problematic in high school? You must have towered over everyone.
I was BIG. Not fat, but Rob Gronkowski big—tall with huge shoulders. I did not grow into that until a few fights in college.
At 14 I started hs at 5’ 4”. Graduated hs at 6’ 1”. Grew another inch during my 18th year. 10” in 5 yrs. My hs sophmore year saw me as a very uncoordinated kid.
Amazing. What a nice looking young man.
God bless him.
Not really, I was in ROTC and Drama and managed to fit in pretty well. My problem has mainly been as an adult buying clothes. I have been mail-ordering clothes for a long time. Switching from catalog ordering to online ordering was pretty easy. But stores almost never have anything that will work (my sleeve length is 37"). Many times people have bought me clothes as a gift thinking "XL" will fit. Nope, it needs to be "XLT".
Lord no...hell be six seven or so is my guess if hes six four now
At thirteen
You grow a lot 13-19 usually
My thirteen year old is five nine and hes expected to be 6.2 or 6.3
Barron is almost 14 ...two weeks
I did height calculator online for him
Mom 5.11
Dad 6.3
He should be 6.7 or 6.8
Go to Pittsburgh & western Pennsylvania you’ll see that American look everywhere!
That kind of growth spurt can be rough to endure.
My own son went to 6’3” at age 14. Growing pains are an actual thing. Your bones grown faster than your tendons and ligaments can stretch comfortably.
i know the Trumps are wealthy, but, i would not want that grocery bill, lol.
Kid probably eats a whole loaf of pb&j as a snack.
Wow. Good genes!
I topped out at just 61 but recall the pain of a growth spurt in junior high. For me it felt more like bone pain for the most part but there was a vague ache in soft tissue elsewhere as well. I cant say I was exactly racked with pain but it was pretty uncomfortable for the better part of a year.
It’s actually quite uneven. Some tall (and short) kids finish growing in middle school. Some NBA players grow after they’re drafted out of college.
Really don’t know. Probably an average guess for Barron’s situation would be another inch or two tops.
I do believe we pay for the president’s family eating in the White House?
I actually think being exceptionally tall like that is good for those who will end up with significant height. Keeps ‘em humble to feel some awkwardness before it becomes a real asset in adulthood.
Of course, Barron’s never going to lack for assets.
Wow, seriously, I did not know that. Is it Polish influence or something like that?
I think the bone pain is a result of them being under constant compression from the too-slowly stretching tendons. Joints especially bothered my son, which would make sense.
Slavic
Plenty people of Slavic extraction from Morgantown to Pittsburgh!
I see, thanks.
Wow, is he growing up fast. And not just his height, but his face.
With my boys, it seemed like one day they were kids and the next, they were grown. My oldest son’s voice literally dropped 3 octaves overnight.
