That kind of growth spurt can be rough to endure.

My own son went to 6’3” at age 14. Growing pains are an actual thing. Your bones grown faster than your tendons and ligaments can stretch comfortably.

I topped out at just 6’1” but recall the pain of a growth spurt in junior high. For me it felt more like bone pain for the most part but there was a vague ache in soft tissue elsewhere as well. I can’t say I was exactly racked with pain but it was pretty uncomfortable for the better part of a year.
