Austin-based conspiracy theorist Alex Jones was booked into the Travis County Jail on a charge of driving while intoxicated just after midnight Tuesday, the Travis County sheriffs office said.
Jones, 46, was booked at 12:37 a.m., said Kristen Dark, spokeswoman for the sheriffs office. The driving while intoxicated charge is a class B misdemeanor, she said.
His bail was set at $3,000 but he was released on bond at 4:11 a.m., Dark said.
Under .08, unless you’re driving recklessly, ran a stop sign, in an accident etc, there’s no DWI/DUI charge.
Look at all of the silly posts on this thread.
When will FReepers and other patriots understand that in the Land of the Free one must obey law enforcement, be arrested when arrested, and pay necessary taxes, fees, and fines?
Sheesh. Did you think this was YOUR country? Pay and obey, bitch. And keep those stickers updated. Fear government: they will always find a way to fine you. It’s YOUR government, after all.
And when you run out of money, you can envy the illegals: they get everything for free... Schools, food, medicine, hospitalization... So love it, sucker.

Alex Jones was cleared of a driving while intoxicated charge by blowing less than a 0.08 the legal limit in Texas for DWI which in itself is an incredibly low threshold.
Jones was pulled over Monday night in Travis County for speeding 45 mph in a 40-mph zone.
The paperwork shows that Jones admitted to drinking a small amount of sake at a Japanese restaurant hours before with his wife, which was proven truthful after the breathalyzer test showed a tiny amount of alcohol well under the legal limit in the Lone Star State.
Travis Co. has been criticized for its low number of DWI arrests, which has triggered a countywide dragnet, according to police sources.
It was quite the experience to see what was going on in this country and to experience it myself, Jones said on his radio show Tuesday.
Ironically, Jones added that the arresting officer couldnt even perform the roadside stand on one leg sobriety test correctly when he was trying to demonstrate it.
That test involved standing on one foot while trying to hold the other foot one inch off the ground while staring at the lifted foot.
Knowing how the establishment, globalist press operates, Jones wanted to get out in front of this to show he has nothing to hide and to point out that legal experts are confident the case will be quickly dropped because he didnt violate the law.
“Conspiracy theorist...” Look how quickly we eat each other, we few on the right.
I worded that incorrectly; should be:
If the state’s BAC limit is .08, even if youre driving recklessly, ran a stop sign, in an accident etc, theres no DWI/DUI charge. You get charged for what you did. They CAN, after a field sobriety test is inconclusive, take you to a hospital and get blood drawn, to see if there are drugs in your system.
The police conspired against him in order to be able to say there was probably cause for pulling him over. Therefore the police have no proof, no witnesses to what gave them “probable cause”.
Or the cop was under orders from headquarters to arrest him on any excuse.
Same here in PA.
Do you believe everything on that site? After all, the owner if that site is from Austin, so he is likely an extreme leftist.
Who on the rite.
He had just said on-air this week that he had gone back to drinking some.
You know, Paul Revere was a conspiracist until the British actually showed up. I imagine folks looking out their windows saying oh thats just that wacko Revere again.
As I just posted, he had said this week he was drinking on a limited basis again. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if that led to the local cops setting out a watch to try to ensnare him.
Paul Revere didn’t live in Austin.
Oops.
The way Austin traffic is, how could he even get up to the speed limit?
You should adopt my tagline. :)
Well, he does look like a lad who likes to toss one or many back.
I have heard that but never heard of it being done unless the person had to be blood typed anyway at the emergency room. (unconscious)
Having been the target of a political "hit job" myself, this has all the earmarks. (My mother was president of a newly formed MADD chapter that threw a helluva kink in the "good ol' boy" network.)
On any "drunk" charge they must hold you a mandatory 8 hrs but watch the DA drag this out for all the press it's worth.
