Continuation of the thread.
Please use this thread to consolidate the discussion and stories.
you could be right about that
I have so many boxes, so I’m using those. One for meats, one for veggies, potatoes, etc. I can easily stack them and keep it somewhat organized and easy to get to.
The first assertion is wrong.
If we rest 1 million extra cases, and they all come out negative (”really negative”, based on a working test), we know it hasn’t spread.
But if 900,000 of them come back positive, then those sure as heck ARE new cases, because they’re really infected.
If you mean, those 900,000 were there anyway...they were, but they were assumed negative until the test.
It's Johns Hopkins, with the s in Johns. We in Baltimore are very touchy about that! LOL. There was a funny April Fools joke about it several years ago: Johns Hopkins Finally Drops the S.
Thanks for the info!
VP CV briefing now on CSPAN and Lookner...

Lookner—Jeapordy and Wheel of Fortune cancel audience—cool—fake clap and laugh tracks? ;-)
Pence on -
move to tele-medicine to diagnose Covid
extend temp liability protection so industrial use masks can be sold to hospitals for health care workers
I’m glad he is on home quarantine and he is as well. He is a rational thinker.
Everyone on stage at VP Press conference huddled close together.
Interesting to see what day that social distance starts to increase. :-)
I see the problem.
No, the number of “tested cases” is NOT the number of actual cases. Has no relation. “Tested cases” are dependent on testing. For example: no tests = no cases!
At some point the testing starts. There’s already a pool of cases present so they find many cases quickly. And the more they test the more they find.
So there is a huge growth in the discovery of cases.
But they’re just discovering the pool of cases that was already there. And probably started growing a month ago.
Eventually, of they test enough like SK did, they start iinding fewer cases
Thank you. I wish he would change jobs (he’s like an adopted son/nephew). In the past he’s been exposed to TB as well as a variety of other things. EMT’s should get hazard pay.
Was waiting for this to happen on the trading floor. Way too crowded.
So your burn-out theory may well be right
Im just completely perplexed by our nations response.
Probability of denial and dumb posts is pretty high too.
Numbers are from here

There’s certainly email links on each site whereby you can take your beef up about the numbers with them directly =o)
Feelings don’t change facts.
And truth is an immovable obstacle for those who refuse it.
So please share the “real” numbers to which you’re referring since you feeeel the ones I posted are wrong.
I’d like to see them. I need some good news
Thank you in advance
Generally I’m overstocked on that stuff here. And, all the piping in our place is plastic. No prob. to take apart the sink drain. Have been doing all my own plumbing for over 40 years. Totally replaced everything inside this house except the kitchen faucet in 2006. Did that one in 2014, IIRC. ;-)
Notes to self:
Check to make sure the PVC cement has not dried up!
Consider purchasing backup for well pump.
Could they get any closer together?
And Kudlow is there. Getting ready to do his Baghdad Bob routine. Everything is great...heres $100 bill. Go about your business!
God save us from these clowns.
This press conference is a total waste...
That guy in the back with the glasses doesn’t look too good. What’s up with his eyes?
They might just be going down the drain. One way or the other.
I’m disputing using the rate the cases are discovered- which is what “confirmed cases” tell us- for the rate of spread.
And that’s it.
Yes, I think the point is obvious so maybe I’m not explaining it well.
