I am in some kind of weird limbo land with all of that because I also have thalessemia....which one of the things is to take folic acid.

I once made a mistake in saying the wrong dosage of lisinopril/hctz I was taking over the phone to the Dr and she freaked and then wouldnt do a renewal on my prescription because it could effect potassium...heart attacks etc.

That is very close to what happened. Infected lab animals which were ordered disposed of were instead covertly sold to a local exotic animals meat market.

I don’t think it’s anything nefarious. Rush is a sportscaster who talks politics. His hubris won’t allow him to keep his mouth shut regarding this pandemic. Considering the size of his radio audience, his downplaying of the wuhan flu is akin to practicing medicine without a license.

Interesting. Lisinopril is a diuretic, so I would have expected it to decrease potassium levels. That’s good it is just the opposite.

States have authority on health matters. Any laws congress passed, or regulations by departments, don’t overrule that.

I wonder if something got poured down the wrong sink or something was misplumbed and it ended up in the river. And the animals therein. And the market by accident. Would have possibly exposed other people who were near the river, dunno.

We’ll likely never know the truth and those that did have gotten a bullet in the head.

oh so I got it wrong...it’s the opposite. lower potassium.

I knew it was something about postassium...I just know when I mentioned the wrong dosage on the dirutic the Dr would not renew my prescription because thought I could have heart problems created by taking too much. I was outside and just misspoke but once I said it nothing else I could say would fix it.

does this mean that those who are asymptomatic do not shed? or that their shedding is immaterial when treating an active patient?

At facilities that had significant numbers of exposed healthcare workers they did allow those with low and moderate risk exposures to return to work well before 14 days.
Only HCW with highest risk exposures were excluded for almost the full 14 days (I think 9 days).
After return to work, all wore surgical masks while at work until the 14 days period expired. All had temperature check and interview with employee health prior to start of work, also only until the end of the 14 days.
Obviously, only asymptomatic individuals were allowed back.
8.Symptom onset is between 2-9 days post-exposure with median of 5 days. This is from a very large Chinese cohort.
9. Patients can shed RNA from 1-4 weeks after symptom resolution
