I don’t think it’s a zoological misfit. I think it’s either a lab escapee, or intentionally released. Remember sometime back when many research biologists were mysteriously dying? Causes me to wonder if there is a connection.

On FR on any given day I’m told that no one believes China, and the CDC and WHO are bought off by China, or something.

It would be helpful to have some independent corroboration. China’s role in COVID-19 transparency is suspect.
Also it seems like infected people must shed the virus by simple respiration.
If you’re anywhere near them, you’re in trouble.
Good question. But common sense tells me if you see emergency personnel, doctors, and nurses wearing masks, it’s probably for a good reason!
