Mix of well-wishers and protestors along route. One sign said: “Welcome chief idiot.” Another read: “Have faith in science.” Another: “we need a vaccine against Trump.”

Watching the CDC Director brief the press in lay terms about the steps taken from their first moment of awareness of a novel virus issue in Wuhan, to the present state of readiness.
The CDC obtained the genome sequence from China, and immediately developed a means for testing patients, AND- had it available for all US States and US Territories for their use and implementation. This all happened in Dec.
Certified manufacturers are ramping up production, producing test kits, that will soon number in the millions.
President Donald John Trump, and his administration- have been on top of the emerging virus as well as any one organization could be prepared. I make this point, because- on day one of the media’s hysteria campaign (since squelched) they knew not what they were dealing with, and stepped squarely on their genitalia.
I can’t hear the press questions, but by the POTUS’s answers, they would appear to be in their usual snarky belligerent inquisitor personas. POTUS is not the least bit phased by it, and as most here know, he enjoys battling these nits, but only after first tying half his brain behind his back .

Anybody that wants to test samples, can do so at the CDC. They are waiting on the medical community to approach them on an as-needed basis. Allies and even adversaries will receive help. BOOM!

CDC staff explaining how and why they are going out in the USA to proactively FIND infected people.
Because the virus is novel, someone can be infected and NOT know that it is this NOVEL (new form) of a virus, and behave like they have when sick in their lives (past tense) and go on about their lives unknowingly infecting others in their social circle.

On a lighter note- I knocked out a couple gallons of home made smoothies earlier this afternoon.
1 gal milk
3/4 gal orange juice
2 cans crushed pineapple
8 bananas
I switch it up and use frozen blueberries, jars of Maraschino cherries, cans of sliced apples & cans of sliced peaches, now and then.
I’m gravitating to using all frozen fruits, due to the canned goods being too sweet and syrupy, therefore- less healthy.

All state labs have the test kits, and NOW- the state labs may perform their own testing without having to take the additional step of sending samples back to the CDC.
I missed that one, and do suspect it was a nod to all patriots in good standing.

Passengers are in their 60’s, 70’s, & 80’s.
High quality and high confidence in test kits (swabs).
900,000 test kits sent out to labs.
200,000 test kits earmarked for other unknown destination.
1,000,000 test kits ready the first of the week.
Passenger ship has 1,100 crew members. Plan is for them to quarantine in place on board the vessel.
Contact tracing is the health orgs. front line weapon.
Infected patients account for who they’ve been in contact with, and staff conduct follow on surveys, possibly putting those individuals in quarantine.

The Accostor just said to Pence that the President described Gov. Jay Inslee as a SNAKE.
I was listening to our President at the CDC, did I miss that?
VP Pence called Inslee to offer support and Inslee had to immediately tweet out snark about the President.
So he is a SNAKE.
I looked for his tweet, seems to have disappeared but it is in our old thread.

Actually Inslee was disparaging the whole Trump administration.
I have heard the President say over and over to the LSM to stop disparaging the hard working men and women who are working on the Coronavirus.
