Schumer unloads on Gorsuch, Kavanaugh at abortion rights rally: 'You will pay the price!'

A fired-up Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., appeared to issue a vague warning toward Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh on Wednesday, during a rally held as the court heard arguments in a high-profile abortion case.

At the rally hosted by the Center for Reproductive Rights, Schumer noted that the case, June Medical Services LLC v. Russo, is the first "major" abortion case since President Trump's court picks have been on the bench. The dispute, dealing with restrictions over who can perform abortions, involves a Louisiana law similar to one in Texas that the court ruled unconstitutional in 2016, before either Trump justice was on the Supreme Court and before conservatives held a 5-4 majority.

"I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price!" Schumer warned. "You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions."

Video of the remarks quickly circulated on social media, with Republicans casting the warning as a threat against two sitting Supreme Court justices.

Schumer did not explain what "price" this would be as far as the justices are concerned. But reached for comment, his office said in a statement to Fox News: "It’s a reference to the political price [Republicans] will pay for putting them on the court and a warning that the justices will unleash a major grassroots movement on the issue of reproductive rights against the decision."

This is unconscionable. A powerful senator warning two Supreme Court justices, and by extension the entire Supreme Court, there will be unspecified retaliation if they vote against his wishes on a pending case. If any Republican senator, or especially the president, had done such a thing, all hell would have broken loose.

It wasn’t a warning.

It was a threat.

They would call it obstruction of justice and demand impeachment.

Didn’t Gorsuch and Kavanaugh have to promise they respected precedents?

I’m not big fan of Chief Justice John Roberts, in a rare move Roberts wrote a letter this afternoon rebuking Schumer for his remarks....

“...It was a threat....”
Yep...and for that alone, Chucky should be gone....forced to resign. Oh wait....he’s a communist RAT so it’s ok.
IF any Rep. senator had done with the shoe on the other foot, there would be holy hell to pay. Schumer should be forced to resign.

The price , Mr. Schumer you piece of shit , is the lives of the 70 million or so lives that have been taken by your democratic party and her apparatchiks

There is nothing more evil than murder and the taking of innocent life and the blood is on your hands

There are millions and millions of untold women whose lives have been permanently altered or ruined by your party telling them that “ it’s just a choice it’s just a clump of cells”

The reckoning will come from a much deeper and stronger place been any place for human habitation on this earth

Is Upchuck Scumbag threatening them with violence? I hear a lot on innuendo from the Demoncrats implying use of force. All I have to say is bring it on and by the way we know where your safe space is located.

I can’t believe that threatening a Supreme Court justice (or two) isn’t a Federal Offense.

Prosecute the bastard and let him cool off in a slammer somewhere for 30 days,

Threatening a judge in most states is a criminal offense. Arrest him.

Thanks for that, but as always I used search to see if this story had already been posted and received no hits. Interestingly my source said it was only posted an hour ago.
