Those that have been passing the 2% fatality figure around have been basing it on plainly bad math.

They announced this morning that they are effectively shutting Italy down. No schools, no crowds...pretty much what China did—with the exception of chaining people in their homes.
No need to panic about this. No need to ever panic if you are informed and have thought a personal response through.
But, we are still hip deep in this thing. I think its a little early to declare “victory.”

Really, you MUST STOP taking Communist Chinese propaganda as the gospel. They murdered over 50 MILLION of their own citizens. Why should we believe CoViD-19 is in decline in China?
China data comes out of the communist party. It is not reliable. Watch their manufacturing data to see if it goes up now that the “virus is ending.” So far it is on a downward dive; lower in the most recent quarter than the one before.

No going to panic, but I was scheduled to go to a financial conference next week. I was still planning to go, but the organization cancelled the whole thing this morning. I’m getting my hotel deposit back and cancelled my Southwest flight for credit. A lot of stuff like this is going on.
My view is there are still a few more weeks of panic left to work out of the economy and markets, but that this is correct, the virus is settling down, and all is right as rain.
