Reminds me of something I used to do when skip tracing.
"Is John Smith there?"
"No."
"Well could you give him a message for me? This is Amy from (local appliance store) and he has won second place in our raffle. The 19" color TV. Could you have him come and pick it up tomorrow between the hours of five and six in the evening? If he doesn't come and get it I will have to award it to the next person. Okay, Thanks." :hang up:
"Hey, boss? John Smith will be at (local appliance store) tomorrow between five and six."
Worked about 90% of the time. Almost 100% if they were wanted for drugs.
