Is this teacher from the same school where the custodian/cleaning person was being tested?
Shame Kipling’s title hasn’t held up.
His poem sure has, and always will.
I survived many various “panics” over several decades by ignoring them, living a reasonably clean life...and drinking some fine bourbon. So far...so good. It does seem there is some “panic” going on. I’m hoping for another 25. Time will tell.
I wonder.
Will covid complement A and B influenza or compete with it?
I expect it will compete, so total cases, and deaths, will be about the same.
Yeah, early to say either way.
Was watching a women almost vomit in a local store. She was backed into the corner of the self checkouts looking like heaving was coming up. Talk about bad timing. You get hit by that and you got it baby. I got out quick. No sirens so maybe she got it under control lol
Fortunately insulin is a domestic product, and I hope most of the supplies aren’t from China. Just because the medical system gets overwhelmed doesn’t mean that everyone with a medical condition has to drop dead instantly.
I’m close enough to Ottawa (about a 100 miles as the crow flies), and government officials are government officials; I hope I’ve balanced being out in the sticks with being close to good potential supplies.
Not by planning so much, especially as far as the diabetes goes, but by providence.
You can always make your own disinfectant spray with regular Clorox and water (for home)....or, with alcohol and water (for small, hand spray bottles).
Except those beds are already full. There lies the rub.
That's a good question. It would be scary if they co-exist. Influenza attacked upper respiratory system, corona lower. Both at the same time I can't imagine. I wonder if that's what's going on with the 20% that need hospitalization.
Once in 100 and once in 1000 year events do happen.
China has never been this spooked before.
Last week gubernors and other tie-toting critters started getting pressed to disclose. Then (a few) reporters got brave and started digging for numbers. And the lid was off the kettle.
Good or bad, I’d be more ticked off if the states lied. Reality we can run with. It’s not knowing that sucks. Rattle cages and put it out there.
If states can be honest with their citizens they’re going to get a whole lot more cooperation in managing hot zones. We want to protect our first responders and our sense of community. A community that wants to help those who might be quarantined at home, instead of going Ukraine on them.
Inherence tax will be 50 %. Lol.
Why a no-no? Possible cykotin reaction? Immune system stronger?
ha! Mrs R.P. brought home 3 more bottles today....
Yep, it may be beginning where we start seeing the big cities getting overwhelmed, Seoul has 10 million people.
Yeah, that whole testing snafu was a real head-scratcher, wasnt it? But now theyre testing so everythings hunkydorry now.
Oh wait.... Arent they using the same test kits now that they pulled earlier? The CDC just gave them permission to start using the same ole test kits?
Head-scratcher yeah. Unless it was all part of the plan to tank the economy.
Oh well, I guess Ill have to quit holding my stocks on Monday and sell. Its cool, theyve had a good run since I bought them in 2003. Ill still make a lot of money - and a lot of capital gains taxes too.
Buy a couple cans of beans. Youll be fine.
I took my 401k out of equities last week...thanks goodness. I had one day (monday) before it took effect so didn't lose a whole lot and was still up for the year.
First I’m hearing of it. Are you familiar with Lars Larsen? He’s been my go-to for lregional news for some time. He was running into Kate Brown’s firewall when trying to get numbers on corona in Oregon. Seems like the soggy homeless of Multmomah County would be particularly vulnerable. Time to put them up in cozy, carbon-neutral, liberal households, for he greater good.
