A resident of Solano County, California, who has novel coronavirus might be the first example in the country of "community spread," a situation in which the patient did not have "relevant travel history or exposure to another known patient," the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Wednesday.
The person's "exposure is unknown," the CDC said in a news release.
"It's possible this could be an instance of community spread of Covid-19, which would be the first time this has happened in the United States," the agency said, using the name the World Health Organization gave this coronavirus.
Community spread means the virus begins moving through a community and the "source of the infection is unknown," the agency said.
"It's also possible, however, that the patient may have been exposed to a returned traveler who was infected," the CDC added.
The agency revealed the case was detected through California's public health system and that the patient is undergoing treatment in Sacramento.

This brings the number of coronavirus cases detected WITHIN the U.S. to 15, with 12 of them related to travel and the other two to direct contact with a patient.
There are another 42 Americans who tested positive on the Diamond Princess cruise ship that was quarantined in Japan, and three detected in Wuhan, the Chinese city at the epicenter of the global outbreak.

Bingo! Because you can't get a virus without a source... It is absolutely impossible. The very first victim got it from an animal, they in turn passed it onto a human and so on and so forth. Viruses do not appear out of thin air. To suggest otherwise is complete nonsense and obviously hysteria.
Why doesn’t the media and the Democrat just cut to the chase and announce that voting Republican is how you contract the virus.

Very probable, the significance is that they don’t know who this infection traveler is wandering around inside the United States infecting people at least one as is evidence by this case with no ties to China or travel to China. The other possible source is even worse this person is the second generation of spread from an unknown traveler to an American who spread it to this person. Either way there is a spreader on the loose in northern California that cannot be denied at this point. This is the first case of in the wild Covid19 in out borders and it won’t be the last. The CDC has only tested less than 500 people and none of them are candidates for community spreading like this case. In fact the CDC REFUSED to test this case for a week, that alone says something it says they are purposely not looking for community spreadin. Now ask yourself why would the CDC do that? The real numbers would and will cause a run on the stores, banks, and markets guaranteed. There is zero say it again ZERO probably we have 60 cases in thr whole country. Thousands of people a day are coming in from infected regions of the world. Japan, Korea, Iran over two thousand a day was the last number I saw. To think that not a single one is a asymptomatic or mild carrier is delusional or just people blinded by normalcy bias or some weak minded coping mechanism. We have community spreading here it’s as certain as death and taxes by now. The CDC and .gov are buying as much time as possible to get the response in place.

I had heard Solano County - which is west of Sacramento. Travis AFB is there.
IIRC, some tourists were quarantined there because of possible exposure to Coronavirus.
Or a false positive just like the Westerdam cruise lady that tested positive twice in Malaysia , then found to be negative.
