Enjoyed several of his books while at the beach.
Great books. And, he always found a way to insert himself in the books.
I enjoyed his books. RIP.
I used to love reading those books and he had a lot of good information in them to keep you interested.
They never found the right actor to bring that franchise to the screen which is too bad.
He led the effort that eventually found and raised CSS Hunley.
Enjoyed his books in the early days when he still wrote them. After a while everything was being ghostwritten by others and they got pretty awful.
I have signed first editions of all his Dirk Pitt’s. Love them!
Soave sil vente
I used to be an avid reader of his until he started promoting man made global warming in his books (e.g. having the NW passage open).
But RIP
I imagine Dirk Pitt will be crushed. Even if he survives (as, for example, Jack Ryan did), he will no longer be the man he used to be.
R.I.P. Mr. Cussler. Read a great many of your books and thoroughly enjoyed them.
May the Lord Bless your soul.
Always enjoyed reading Clive’s earlier work and I still have all of his books that I bought. At one point, his plot line became a little too over the top as he tried to out do his last novel. Can’t remember the title of the book where he had Dirk going to the moon but it seemed at that point Clive realized the non-plausibility of what he was writing and he dialed it back and made the series enjoyable again. Kind of lost interest in his works once the ghost writers stepped in and he started spinning off other works that didn’t have his alter-ego Dirk in. RIP Clive and thanks for the many hours of enjoyment in the fictional universe that you created.
His experience trying to locate a wreck off France was quite a read.
Godspeed Mr Cussler.
RIP.
My late father and he were friends and he worked with him researching the gemstone market for his book “Shockwave”. If I remember, he even mentioned him in that book.
“Dirk Pitt mourns...”
I have read ever Dirk Pitt series written by Clive.
God rest your soul Clive... enjoy your new adventure.
I never read any of his books. Had too many other good authors I followed. I recall he played a part in the discovery of the C.S.S. Hunley, and I know a lot of people will miss his writings. RIP Mr. Cussler.
I read mostly to be entertained, and in this regard, Mr. Cussler was one of my favorites. R.I.P.
Father of all, we pray to you for Clive, and for all those whom we love but see no longer. Grant to them eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them. May his soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
