I am not a doctor or an epidemiologist. I am a regular guy who sees the world and tries to understand it from a very common sense point of view. Tragedy has struck China, the virus has spread around the world. The Coronavirus is a problem and it must be dealt with. I am not a denier: what I will say is stay calm and don’t panic.

Your first paragraph sounds like me, except it was Seattle, and rural KY. Our driveway is 1/4 mile long.
And we are VERY thinkful that we made this move 8.5 years ago.
Though I generally agree, where it gets sticky is when only 2% of a finished product is imported, if that 2% doesn’t show up, and the parts are critical, the entire “mostly finished” products sits in a warehouse or parking lot waiting...And if it’s a deeply internal part, nothing is built and all the parts sit on the shelf waiting.
But yeah, I generally agree.
